Maybe...
All warlocks gain a free (and forced) respec
....
The bound demons will all die in the process as consequence...
(So no "old version" Bind Demon)
But everybody can now free respec their now "rebalenced" skills
[..]
I have a question in mind, though: What happens if I bind a cursed Hepasto with Conviction in ladder and carry it into non-ladder?
The ladder/non-ladder part wouldn't make a difference as the patch will apply to both once released.
If they include a forced respec for locks then there's your answer as that would also remove all existing bound demons.
If they don't, then we just don't know how it plays out. They could still remove all bound demons. They could also apply the aura replacement to all existing ones. Or they could conveniently forget about it and leave existing ones as they are, despite being a relic and no longer obtainable in that way.
Either way, IF you plan to attempt to keep a Conviction heph through the patch, make sure you respec based on the changes first, then get your heph again and then just wait and see what happens.
If you don't first respec into 20 pts to bind, odds are it'll run a validity check either way, notice that your skill doesn't support super uniques and will auto-kill him for you even if the patch itself wouldn't. Or at least that's what should happen..no guarantees blizz won't f that up. ^^
Where did you get this from? Haven't seen this in the patch notes.
It's what Skaijuice had hoped for. Not that they did so.
haha yes. 99 is just neither here nor there.
I kinda like the 99 limit. Or at least not having it even higher.
More than high enough for nearly every errrm "non-JSP person"/all but the most hardcore of traders.
But still low enough to seem reasonable, not entirely eliminate the restrictive nature of D2 item hording and hence not become obscenely inflationary due to hundreds upon hundreds of HRs being readily available to throw at anything for a precious few while most avg. players can no longer ever afford anything decent.
Plus it saves me from stock-piling up for a "way too long and insanity-triggering" 999+ RW reroll session.
why would anyone think warlocks are overpowered?
lol
they are OP AF and I love it.
I hope someone makes like a patch selecting mod for single player, id get off battle net and continue enjoying my power fantasy

It gets boring fast.
When everything gets too easy, I lose interest.
This kills the game quickly.
Add me if stated BIN price is met.
1 Pame=1 Hel = 4 Pgems

Frankly, It is hard for me to understand how this could have happened in the first place. Anyone with at least a bit experience in playing D2 should have noticed that this is way over the top. In any case, this speaks volumes about quality control at Blizzard and also raises lingering doubts about the competence of the "top streamers" involved in the testing process.
After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)

His rough guess/calculations say all changes, if were implemented as written in the memo, would decrease damag output to 13% of current state for ES Warlock.
And that still might be broken for the max damage builds.
Mixed feelings, because it will probably remove availability of all medium builds with your favourite weapon and force players into 1-2 best in slot combinations which will remain very strong. But I guess it has to be done.

From patch 1.13:
Blizzard wrote:Respecialization is now possible! Completing the 'Den of Evil' quest will now additionally reward 1 free respec which can be saved. Players who have already completed this quest should receive 1 free respec in Hell difficulty.
Maybe they will do the same this time (for those who already used all 3 free respecs)?
