You can justify anything, it's made up magic. It doesn't make sense to me that you can throw a Spear and it turns into lightning, but that's just how the game works.Skaijuice wrote: 5 days ago@Necrarchhuman_being wrote: 4 weeks agoFlavor justifications are easy. For example, you're likely using some kind of weapon infused with magic. Let's say that projecting echoes from it creates a burst of magical power that results in physical deterioration. Or the weapon's magic is tied to the physical state of the weapon and the echoes slowly drain the former, resulting in the latter's degradation.
The part that matters is the mechanical side. It doesn't seem like the warlock, damage-wise, needs to use ethereal weapons better than all other classes.

i'm 100% on this as well.
Having durability loss doesn't make sense to me ...for a skill named "echoing" strike which literally is a Spell.
U take your weapon's damage and project sound outwards and it bounces back to you, similiar to War Cry and..might i add - Shock Wave.
There never is any physical interaction between the weapon (that is FLOATING) ever touching whatever is targeted, only the echoes branch out and return.
The gods have spoken and decided. Now who has that ghosty Thunder Maul again? HMU.
