so i was curious how many
El
runes it would take to cube up to a
Zod
so i did the math and it seems doable. you would only need 14,281,868,906,496
El
runes. so here is my math. to find how many
El
runes you need for any given rune just take its rune number starting with
Eld
as number one. for example,
Tir
being rune 2, and 3^2 is 9 and we know we need nine
El
runes to cube up to one
Tir
we know the math checks out. So lets take
Pul
the 20th rune and raise 3 to power of that number (3^20=3,486,784,401) which means we need that many
El
runes to get one
Pul
rune. since at
Pul
runes the formula changes from three to two we will adjust the formula to raise two to the power of the rune number, starting with
Um
as rune number 1 making
Zod
rune number twelve. for example,
Mal
being number 2^2=4 meaning we would need 4
Pul
runes to make one
Mal
which we know is true, so again the math checks out. therefore, lets take
Zod
at number 12 (2^12=4096). which means we need 4096
Pul
runes to cube up to a
Zod
. then we take our number of
El
rune to one
Pul
and multiply. (3,486,784,401 X 4096 = 14,281,868,906,496). so you just need fourteen trillion two hundred and eighty one billion eight hundred and eighty six million nine and six thousand four hundred and ninety six
El
runes. fairly confident my math is correct but if isnt lemme know. also, why did i take this much time outta my day to do this? i have no idea. can i borrow an
El
rune? then ill be one closer to my goal of
Zod
.

Bro, imagine, even with a LIFE TIME, you wouldn't have the TIME to CUBE ! (even if we take an average of like 3 sec per cubing- non stop)

Amazing, better find it ahah

lol right. there is appx three trillion seconds in a century. which means you could cube a trillion every century(assuming 3 secs per cubing). so to do the whole thing would require 1400 years. and thats just to cube them assuming three secs per cube which obviously is the most ideal scenario.

You forgot to calculate all the gems you need to cube runes starting with
Thul
.

hooray! thanks for the fun math lessons.

I'm still cubing those
El
's baby. I'll see you in Zodtopia.

the problem isn't getting the runes, actually is having the gems to complete the recipe XD

Similar calculation was done on Reddit (and countless of other times before) with bit more relaxed terms - assumed you could pick up 100 000 runes in 4.76 hours at 350 clicks per minute. Took 78 256 years to go up to
Zod
.

I haven't really checked the math here, just quoting what was posted elsewhere.

Challenge accepted. What is the best place to farm
El
runes?

Someone calculated that it would take 1.132 million years to complete if you took 5 seconds for each transmute.

Anyone care to check?

Either 1.4 thousand years, or 1.3 million years. Quite the spread there.

Here's a more interesting question: what rune is the lowest rune such that you could still cube up to
Zod
within an average human lifetime? You may assume you have a cube at hand and other players are dropping you the same rune right next to you so that your only job is to pick them up for transmutation. Let's also say they drop you the right gems as you need them.

I think you just got yourself 4.760623e+12
Eld
runes here.

i was wrong, and my big mistake was i thought there were 3 trillion seconds in a century after looking again there are appx 3 billion seconds in a century. so having to cube 14 trillion runes means i was way off. i was thinking i had 3 trillion seconds a century to work with not 3 billion.
