Why do some runes have much more trade value than some runes of higher level?

On trades, I perceive that only some runes are used as currencies, and that runes when compared to others have a much higher trade value than some others runes that have higher level (and so would be theoretically rarer and harder to drop...)

Here are my guesses for why those runes are evaluated higher than some runes of higher level:

Tell me where I guess wrong and if there are other runes that fall in this category that I missed

- Ral:

- Amn:

-- runewords: Spirit (people re-socket for better values)
-- "Socket Shield" formula;
-- craft non- Blood Ring;

- Thul:

-- "Socket Armor" formula;

- Sol:
-- runeword: Insight (people re-socket for better values);
-- craft Blood Ring;

- Hel:
-- "Unsocket item" formula;

- Vex:
-- runewords: Breath of the Dying, Phoenix, Exile, Heart of the Oak, Death

- Lo:
-- runewords: Fortitude

- Ber:
-- runewords: Infiniy, Enigma, Beast
-- " Jah" Formula;
-- people trying to maxime damage reduction.

- Jah:
-- runewords: Enigma

Ral and Sol -> mainly for crafting indeed.

Hel -> Unsocketing indeed.

Amn and Thul -> not much value.

After that, the others have values quite related to their rarity, starting at Lem, except Cham / Zod. Mal / Ist / Gul are pretty much in the same spot of value.

Vex is in a lot of RW indeed, Ohm also for CtA, Lo for Fortitude and Grief.

Ber and Jah are the real "ultimate" runes with all they go with (Faith, Last Wish, Enigma, Beast, Inifinity, etc., etc.)

You don't cube Ber to Jah, 2 Ber > Jah

Cham and Zod are a weird spot, just because they have quite few runewords with them, so are less valuable than the two previous. Usually the rule of thum Cham = Ohm / Zod = Lo is quite true, though I heard Zod was higher these days - after all those are SUPER rare and BotD is a nice runeword.

1 Ral Rune + Armor = Fully Repaired Armor
You save a lot of Gold, especially if you use those perfect superior 15/15 armors.
