Mine's Veil of Steel, mainly because of D1 though - would love to be actually able so use that on in D2 as well some day.
If we`re stictly speaking D2, it's Bonesnap all the way.
EDIT: Funny, just noticed posting after Lord-Jonty, who lists up all the Great Helm variants, apart from Veil, lol.
Ha, fair point! Simple reason; it's never dropped for me and since I've never seen it mentioned as a good option in any build guides, I have literally never heard of it until now. And now I want one, of course.

Although I have several favorite objects, one of them is The Oculus. I loved it both visually and conceptually. 3 All Skills, FCR, MF, AllRes, Life and Mana and the best thing is that you could get it in Nightmare.
The Teleport can be annoying, but it forces you to learn to position yourself and respond quickly to what happens, and I like that. A little randomness and surprise is sometimes fun.
Favorite ever since D1 - little bit sad the artwork in D2 never received the same attention and it's a bit outclassed by Faith (not want to open this discussion here though)...

I have not played D1... Was it Windforce ? The "harp" style is beautiful indeed !

For me, it has to be Lycander's Aim . The first unique that carried me thru hell on my first frostzon (and also first hell char ever) and fell in love with <3
Edit : Close second is Peace , such an amazing runeword. lvl 15 valk is such a great addition and saves alot of skill points
Had been using Grief for a long time on my Zealer, but always having trouble with Physical Immunes. Tried Conviction + Vengeance, but still very slow to kill, and a cost a handful of skill points.
Then found this 262% ED Azurewrath not too long ago and managed to purchase a 38% ED / 15% IAS Jewel for a nice, even 300% ED / 45% IAS total. Now PI's are toast in a second or two (+ merc using Infinity to help with any other resistances).
Not as good as Grief for Ubers, but def my preference for Baal runs and such, especially on WSK Level 3 where a ton of PI's spawn.
Paired with a CTA on swap for buffing, he can now handle anything. Might be my new favorite weapon.
