Void or Obsession?

The reason I ask is, before I burn a

Zod, after 3.2.0 is implemented, it looks like the 'locks will need to carry a book in order to levitate a 2-handed weapon in one hand.
However, I know that

Kris' can roll with some pretty good fixes as well

I'd go for Obsession +

Ars Dul'Mephistos - you still get +6 to skills, 80-90% FCR, 90% FHR, some MF, decent resistances and all the other good stuff.

Obsession + Ars Dul is the comfortable and sensible thing to do.

In terms of raw damage Void wins with +15% magic damage and up to +4

Abyss over Obsession and extras on top (

Bind Demon). A roll in a base like that boasts ~30 % more damage for

Abyss.

Abyss Warlock is so tanky that he does not need the all res, FHR and extra life from Obsession. I prefer the superior damage from Void (good

Kris base). Don't regret it. But it is softcore. Hardcore: Obsession, clearly.

Ars Al'Diabolos socketed with a

Defender's Fire. P8 is a breeze.

Can you explain what you mean by "P8"? Are you playing single player and setting the player count to 8 so it increases the difficulty/drop rates?

Can you explain what you mean by "P8"? Are you playing single player and setting the player count to 8 so it increases the difficulty/drop rates?

Yes. I play offline with Player 8 settings.
Plenty of drops and increased enemy life and damage.
I switch to P1 only for Ubers and Colossus Ancients.

To be sure you get three sockets on that

Kris you have to use a

Larzuk quest.
If you use the cube recipe it could end with three but also with one or two sockets.

Good call. I'll probably grind a bit longer before making a decision. I still have a lot of items on the list to get before I start taking on Ubers and Colossals
