Lava gout/enchant question

Regardless, I'd rather have Demon Limb and just eat the repair cost if I'm prebuffing Enchant.

Seems less annoying to me than trying to proc it in combat. Even if youre not horking, the cost to repair Demon Limb isn't that terrible if you repair it every 2 or so charges instead of using up all 20.

BigD do you use Demon Limb on a swap or you are carrying it around with you on your journeys or you do a pre-buff from the stash?

Honestly only time I ever use it is with my Frenzy Barb, and even then only doing Ubers. Any other circumstance it seems like unnecessary overkill.

I keep it in my stash. Weapon swap is either dual HoTos or Wand of Life Tap depending on the circumstance.

I just noticed that I can send a volley of Arrows with multishot at an enemy pack and while the Arrows are flying you can hit W to switch to Obedience and the Arrows proc the Enchant, no need to go melee with the Lance.

A Gold find barb isn't a barb for me ^^

Any barb is a Gold find barb if you have dual Lem Ali Babas on swap, even if you only put 1 point each into Find Item and Find Potion.

I know but using hork breaks the sequence of fights. You slow down the rush/kill fun.
Chain the fights is in the DNA of D2. So doing hork too often is boring.

If you stop to hork every trash mob you come across yeah youre gonna be wasting alot of time, unless youre looking for a certain base item.

Kill all the council members and then hork em when youve laid them all out, or only the superunique youre killing.

I agree. I think all the posters have a point, and horking does break up the flow a bit, even if you only hork champions and uniques. It gets better if you don’t weapon swap and/or have some fcr.

That said, no barb should really be complaining about Gold unless you can’t kill the trav council or can’t get a couple ali babas (technically, 6x Lem Crystal Sword is better Gold find, but then you miss out on an enormous amount of magic find).

Why not just keep a couple ali babas in the stash, and when you need a few million Gold, just go run trav for a few mins?

The problem with 6xLem or 6xIst Crystal Sword is attack speed and durability if you're a Frenzy Barb, Crystal Sword & Dimensional Blade have absolute trash durability and youre gonna be repairing them constantly if youre using them for steady farming.

I used to use a 6 x Ist Phase Blade offhand and even then your damage output is nowhere near Ali Baba, especially if you've upgraded to Hydra Edge. If youre using Enigma the str req should be a non issue. There's also the fact that those 6 Lem/ Ist runes could be way better spent elsewhere.

I think trav barb works best as Whirlwind because in my experience it had the best kill speed and it also uses the fewest skill points so you can invest more heavily into Find Potion/ Find Item. (Trav WW barb still uses 1-point Berserk against stoneskin/phys immune.)

Zerker or Frenzy barbs still work for trav but they aren’t quite as good IMO. However they will still wrack up a tremendous amount of Gold in comparison to what other classes are capable of.

I mostly used Grief mainhand and upped Ali baba offhand w/2xIst, weapon swap i use dual HoTos. Or sometimes Last Wish offhand.

Grief + Ali Baba isnt bad I find as long as you can get 40 off weapon IAS (highlords + LoH usually).

Frenzy/Zerker barb with even 1 point into Howl works well to scare the trash mobs away, especially if you weapon swap to dual HoTo and Howl.
