Brand

A unique runeword, as it is the only runeword as of date with % chance to cast

Amplify Damage.

Though powerful, it remains an unpopular choice among Bowazons mostly for two reasons:

1. The

Amplify Damage proc that comes on this runeword is useful but frequently you won't get that many procs from the targets that you'll be fighting since you'll be doing your best to go ranged and not get hit.

2. It has no inherent Increased Attack Speed, which helps in attack speed breakpoints for late game considering other runewords of the similar cost like Ice and especially Faith (probably the most popular choice for Bowazons due to

Fanaticism).

Still, Brand has the benefit of dealing two types of damage: being Fire, from its Explosive Arrow/Bolt effect, and Magic, from a ridiculous 100%

Bone Spear cast upon striking.

This effects make Brand suited to non-Amazon variant builds by players like:

- Paladins with benefits from

Fanaticism or max

Holy Fire synergy to strengthen Explosive

Arrows/

Bolts.
- Enchantress Sorceresses that empower Exploding

Arrows/

Bolts with

Enchant.
- Necromancers with maxes to

Bone Spear's synergies, and with the proper build, can be capable of firing faster than you could cast

Bone Spear if you loaded up on Faster Cast Rate items.
