Totally feel you. But you have to be thankful they added extra assets to modernize it, runs better & added a bunch of QOL.

Any other new update that is free is definitely going to ramp up hype & attention.

Yeah, the modernization has completely spoiled me rotten. I wouldn't be caught dead playing OG or legacy mode after all the enhancements and upgrades. But I'm not going to pretend the game isn't in dire need of streamlining optimization alongside the competition, like Grim Dawn. It is PAINFUL to go back to D2R after playing Grim Dawn, which set the bar for modern QoL, my fingers ache just thinking about it.

I'm going to have to agree with Brevik: the Stamina bar is super cringe, let's not kid ourselves here. That thing needs to go. We need item stacking too, you know? Like really basic stuff these days. But they didn't do it in 2021 because they needed a selling point for the "Shared stash" which is a complete joke anyways. We needed unlimited storage, at minimum, when D2R launched. This anniversary update is looking more and more like an empty tease with each passing day. I don't mean to bring soul crushing defeat to everyone's hopes, Blizzard better prove me wrong. Nothing would make me happier, tbh.

Play D2 classic with the lights off solo self found. Only items you get and you can't really keep any. The game becomes a horror game immediately. I miss those old days before LOD.

nahhh...could it be? That would be crazy to even think about.
But at his level of competency (with those credentials helming GGG) i'm sure he can put together a small team (or already am) to collaborate with new Blizz just like how D2r came about.

Adding those missing quest lines in Act 4 would be great for a start...

GGG on the other hand has 2 titles to juggle , 1 a mature title and the other which continues to be in early access mode (it got 500,000) players at one point in time...numbers Blizz can only Dream about.
(but i will stop at this as any talk of POE whatever here gets an unwelcome PM from this site's owner...beware!)

I wish D2 got its own SSF mode. Some mods add it, and even D3 got it, albeit quite lately. So why not D2R?

I hope it gets huge nerf. Its idiotic and overpowered, I say no to this type of runewords.
On top of the fact that the d2r has game engine limits where too many objects / particles in screen may cause game to just shut down without errors: Mosaic build causes that. Massive amount of meteors + hydras on sorc causes that. Shenk Death bombardment causes that.

its weird that it wont happen to everyone, but to some more often than the others and all there is info about it is that its an engine limit and theres nothing to do about it. Lowering settings wont even affect it.

Agree. That rw makes complete no sense.

I REALLY like playing my Mosaic sin, but it's so strong it is boring. I really hope they tweak it to bring it in line with other classes. Right now I just play her with

Dragon Tail instead of

Phoenix Strike and it's fine.
