What if I buy an unidentified item from someone and they identify it, will it count ?
From what I have seen, that will not count. It seems you have to be in the game when it drops, and possibly also nearby (similar to XP). I cannot be sure on the last part but I am almost positive about the first part.
There are definitely some nuances with it including the identity element called out above. A bit janky, and not perfect yet, but that may just be fixed in time

Your squelch list can be managed and edited from Top right dropdown > Account Prefs > Squelches.
