You are right, it was just a joke.
I have a Dragon/HoJ A3 merc with my Poisonmancer, he can be useful when playing solo only. I don't need him, but it's something different and he fits very well to the Lower Resist curse + minion gameplay. In Act 1+2 he really wrecks monsters.
It's a shame that the A2 merc is so superior...
For low items I also accept: Perfect Amys, Ral, Hel, Tokens, Keys. Please don't offer runes lower than Pul (with the named exceptions).
