Online P1 ACT3, Terrorized Council Members, still dont know which one dropped though. If my Memory serves me right, I was at lvl 89 or 87.

Online forgot precisely where, but im almost certain it was a Travincal or diablo run and i didnt use it, i still have it.
SC Ladder, TZ cows in a full game I think. But I wasn't fast enough as I was a half a screen away.
Edit: Zod should only normally drop in Act 4 or 5 Hell I think, unless Terrorized. Nvm I might be thinking about chests.

SCL, non-TZ cows, on P3, I think. First and only one ever 
Yeah, you're thinking of chests. There's plenty of areas in all acts where mobs can drop up to Zod, even non-TZ. SCNL Chaos Sanctuary, FOH trash mob.... out comes a Zod rune ;0.

My first was offline singe player, maybe a year before d2r came out. I kicked a ?basket/barrel in the Bloody Foothills. Then stared at it kinda stunned for a while. I'm not actually sure who dropped Zod no.2 for me, not quite as memorable as the first! But I think it was a TZ mob.
I've found 4 Zods so far, in my 3 years of D2R.
1st was from a Durance of Hate superchest, P1 online (non-TZ) on 2/17/2022.
2nd was in Baal's Throne Room level, dropping from an elite, P1 online (non-TZ) on 3/14/2022.
3rd was Travincal council drop, P3 online (TZ) on 4/11/2023.
4th was Travincal, but this time a council hork, P1 online (TZ) on 8/3/2023.

I've dropped two now in BTDiablo mod. The first one was in cows, p7. The second was in a mod-specific zone

I found my first and only non-traded Zod in online P3 SCNL TZ Catacombs Level 4. Dropped from a Zombie boss pack. I have 3 computers and use a War Cry barb and enchantress for support. Character that found it was a full Tal sorceress.

Yes second time I've found a Zod rune in CS. First time was just player one online, FoH in a trash mob near where Infector spawns (had not popped the seals yet).
This time was a 8 player TZ CS levelling session. I paid for it though died the next round, no fun at level 97....
I've been doing Single Player CS Runs on P8 this weekend and here is what I found in 35 Runs (seal popping):

1 Sur
1 Lo
2 Ohm
1 Gul
I don't know if i had an insanly lucky run or if p8 CS Runs are actually the best way to farm High Runes. Sur dropped from Grand Vizier of Chaos and Lo from Infector of Souls.

Definitely insane luck. The place is good but not that much in average.

I got my first Zod drop and probably my only one in CS TZ 90 online non-ladder single player from a trash mob. Damn was my hart beating after this NERDGASM... ;-P

After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)

Hey, I found Zod once in **offline single player**, on **p8** in Act V, **The Worldstone Keep**. The area wasn’t terrorized, so it was pure luck! Honestly, the rarity of this drop is insane, so I wasn’t expecting it at all.
If you're hunting for Zod, I'd suggest farming terrorized areas – slightly better odds
