Ubers First try - which of my chars should I use?

I never did ubers before, but I'm with a full set of keys and want to try.

I have 4 characters that I consider well geared, at least for my PvM farms
(I'm not seeking any set/unique/runeword for them anymore, and from time to time just do little upgrades on my charms and on the few rares/crafted)

I'm not intended at first to change my builds/equipment just for Ubers
(except by the un-equiped Treachery's Fade buff - that I normally don't do during my farms)

That being said, what of those builds normally have more chance to do Ubers?

- Druid - Fury (killed Diablo Clone a few times with no problem)
- Sorceress - Lightning / Chain Lightning (killed Diablo Clone a few times with no problem)
- Necromancer - (Pure) Summoner (never faced Diablo Clone yet)
- Amazon - Lightning Fury (never faced Diablo Clone yet)

I'm thinking on "Druid - Fury" (huge single target damage, huge life steal, huge crushing blow - have Death)

Not sure on which would have the best chance but call if you get stuck (while I'm not at work ).

Out of those, the Fury Druid seems to be the best bet with it's high attack speed and crushing blow.

You'll be taking a lot of damage so a source of Life Tap will help keep you alive.

Mephisto's Conviction aura will lower your resistances by 100% and a source of Open Wounds is highly recommended to counter their regeneration.

Be sure to create a game that you can rejoin - as long as you don't create a new one, you can swap char. For example, with Urdars revived, the summon necro can do it pretty fine, but it's painful to do (and be sure to check that you have some Urdars in River of Flame, best place to gather some).

I'll also bet on the Druid, but Necro can be a backup solution. And be sure to read this thread that explains the path to follow.

By the way, you can try the 3 mini Ubers with one game and Uber Tristram with another, as long as you collect all the organs in one single run to have the 3 portals being different.

With Fury druid Diablo and Baal r easy, but Mef is (very) hard. Cast Fade (U and merc), Enchant ( Demon Limb), max light and poisson(!) res, use Life Tap Wand or maybe dracs. Create public game with pass (if sth goes wrong, someone will help U), don't fight close to the portal.
Summoner can also do Ubers, but well geared. Acc. to me Key is to Revive Bulls with Frenzy or Urdars that stuns enemy (for uber tristam). For mini ubers cows r ok. If U have Iron Golem - watch your golem and have eni to escape and rescue him. Clay is better for bosses with decr, but I don't know which U R using.

Fury Druid for sure... The first time I tried it I was going with Javazon without Infinity and without TGods, Wisp and Griffons (+I don't use Enigma so no mobs bug either) and I spent like 60 Full rejuvs, fought them for about 3 hours just to leave at the end defeated. Couldn't do it alone that time and I was sooo mad, for someone who is not farming in general, got pretty lucky with keys even traded like last 2 then utterly crushed everything on path to Uber Tristram, collected organs pretty easily and quickly and then just had my arse been handed to me!

Twas very, very sad experience. Next couple of times I did it with 3&4-men party and then I only did solo once more with Blizzard/Orb Sorc.

From what I seen playing with Fury Druid, I would even go a bit further and say he is almost on par with the Smitter, just because of insane survivability (and usually utilizing big CB)!

P.S. Now I don't know if this work, but for the regen part if you hit them with a source of PMH with a physical hit they should be neutralized for the next 4 hours... Ofc taking into account you don't die (it resets on death), the part I'm not sure that works is equipping Edge bow while SS-ed and landing a normal hit.

Warning : prevent monster heal does not work on Ubers, only on DClone.

The solution to stop regen is more Open Wounds (but lasts much less) and with enough frequency of CB you should be fine to overcome regen.

I would say the Fury Druid has the best shot among those characters, but I've only ever taken out the Ubers once. I had a very good experience with my Zealot Pally, fighting with another Zealot/Smiter, neither of us really had too much trouble. It appears that, as others have stated, a source of Life Tap and very high res are a few things that greatly help. Let me know if you would like some help, I'm always down to fight the Ubers.

I will try (probably this weekend) the "mini-ubers" with my Druid
At first I will change only my gloves and Boots ( Dracul's Grasp + Gore Rider)

On other thread, they said: if you can kill Diablo Clone with no problem, the only "mini-uber" that could be an issue is Lilith

You have nothing to boost your resistances appart from Treachery ? Uber Meph has a lv20 Conviction aura (-125 @ res)... I doubt you'll survive him with these res

For Phase-2 (The real ubers) I will change more equip. Let's see how Phase-1 (the mini ubers) goes first...

First idea, yes, is changing armor (Fortitude or Smoke) and use Treachery just for buff, but will affect my attack speed a lot... Maybe have to change weapon too...

My problem, is that want to try Ubers just for fun once, so at first I don't want to create/buy new equipment just for it...
And with that in mind the weapon could be a huge issue... don't have a good (ie. Ethereal) Ribcracker and don't what to make a Breath of the Dying...
For the same reason I don't list Chains of Honor as a armor choice (which probably is the best option against Uber Mephisto)

Is it so expansive ? Maybe try a cheaper one ?

I have a normal Ribcracker
But to really replace my Death (which has 50% CB too) without losing too much dps need to be Ethereal (and upgraded)

I do a little calculation o maxroll
And probably will try with my current Death
My DPS will be actually higher replacing Treachery for Fortitude without changing the weapon...

Attack Rate: 24 frames per 5 hits (5.21 hits per second)
Damage per Second: 93,659

OBS: with my "farm build", that has more IAS, Treachery x Fortitude deals almost the same damage (so I stick with Treachery for more defensive status and more "hits per second" - 6.25)

DPS is not all, Attack speed affects the frequency of applying CB though (and chances of procing Life Tap). Against ubers, it's your main source of damage most of the time. You just need high dps to finish them. Don't really know what's the best...

Make sure you remember to change Treachery after pre-buff to Fortitude. I forgot to do that more than once.
