Nice. Another reason to NOT play season 2.
The game will be too easy with Sundering Charms.

Relax and have fun!

Yeah, I wasn't sure that Non-Ladder would be included. Hope it stays.

Now the question is how I may create a
Terror
Zone enabled game. The checkbox is greyed out for me, meanwhile I see plenty of games with it enabled.

Ahh, I see what's going on.

I happened to be on a char that hasn't killed
Baal
. Only chars that have finished the current difficulty can enable it.

The zone switch is right on the clock.

Just switched to
Dry Hills

Just did a full clear of
Dry Hills
and Halls of the Dead on my 95 Pally, 1 player.

First impressions:
  • The mobs are quite easy. Didn't feel a difference in clearing speed. Cleared in ~10 minutes.
  • The red hue feels like I am watching Apocalypse now. LOL
  • Decent experience gain, got 1 mil within 10 minutes for my level 95, which is similar to 4-5 Chaos runs, not bad.
Other thoughts: now I may finally be motivated to get more way points, as there's a purpose now. What a chore =p

Halls I liked cuz its a good amount of mobs in there. Dry hill was deffo "dry" as far as density goes.

100% agreed with didnt see much of a difficulty. Cant wait to eat my words when getting my behind kicked by a burning soul
Fanaticism
pack.

I just did a few tests, here is what I found:
-
Terror
Zones are currently availables in both NL and Ladder,
-
Baal
quest must be completed for a newly created game to have a
Terror
Zone,
- EDIT (for clarity): If not, making a game with one that did complete the quest then swapping to another that didn't WILL work (maybe a bug),
-
Terror
Zones are region agnostic,
-
Terror
Zones are game mode agnostic,
-
Terror
Zones are difficulty agnostic.

Recap: There is only one
Terror
Zone worldwide no matter how you play D2R.
7
Blizz forgot to mark Hall of the Dead as terrorised.

Relax and have fun!

Thanks for testing.

If it stays this way, then the task of tracking
Terror
zones become super easy -- a simple report in a post will do.

The new charms are in the code but won't be turned on until October 6.

Hang on, has the PTR finished and patch dropped then? Wasn't expecting it so soon. So far I am not terrified or terrorised, it's all very easy.

I'm not sure why anyone expected TZ to be more difficult. You could raise a
Fallen
to mlvl 200 and it still wouldn't matter for most endgame players.

The only characters that should notice any difference are ones that rely on AR, and even then, it might not be all that noticeable.

And... the charms have variables now. More time sink to get those "Best" charms, if you are into that.
