Do "Hit Causes Monster To Flee"/"Hit Blinds Target" override curses on Champion/Unique Monsters?

Hi

I know that Hit Blinds Target and Hit Causes Monster To Flee do not affect Champion/Unique Monsters (OK)

But can they override (and in this case just cancel) a Curse that is already affecting the Champion/Unique Monsters?
(or the trigger is just completely ignored against Champion/Unique Monsters? 🤔)

In other words... do the "Hit Blinds Target" from my Merc's Pride, make my
Amplify Damage trigger (from Faith) worse versus Bosses?
