magic/rare/crafted - number of "affix families" x number of "individual affixes" on the odds

Description

Hi

From maxroll calculator
https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2planner/
"Odds of rolling selected mods"
"Odds of rolling selected values or higher"
Seems like the game first chooses the "affix family" of each affix (like "poison resist +X%") and then roll the values to choose the "individual affix" (like Beryl, Viridian, Jade,
Emerald
)

If this is true, your chance of getting a specific "affix family" will be the same as long as the ilvl does not enable a new "affix family" 🤔🤔

Pratical case:

Smal Charm ilvl 47 x Smal Charm ilvl 48

There are only two L48 affixes (Stalwart +20-30 Defense and Serpent's +13-17 Mana)
And L47 have other affixes of the same "affix family" (like Burly +15-20 Defense and Snake's +8-12 Mana)
https://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/i ... arms.shtml

The question is:
Will the chance to drop/cube something like a "Fire Resist +X Life" be the same at L47 and L48 as there are no new "affix family" on L48
or
will the chance be a little lower at L48 as there are two new "individual affixes" availlable?

Can be used to make Runewords:

Seems like the things are a little more complicated...

while "Of Vita" is a L47 affix, maxroll said that I need ilvl 61 to get it and while "
Ruby
" is a L40 affix, maxroll said that I need ilvl 54 to get it So I only the base level of the affixes (family or individual) available is not enough to determine the odds...

I calculated, on maxroll, the odds of
Ruby
Small Charm of Vita
on each level, and the chances seem to have no direct relation with the the Level of a new affix, maybe it is related with the "level required"(like 54 instead of 47 for
Ruby
) of a new affix, but I found no table of that to compare...

Seems like the difference of 14 levels in
L47 x L61 for Of Vita
and
L40 x L54 from
Ruby

Comes from the fact that Small Charms have quality level 28 (I thought it was 1 like rings and amulets...), as we have that formula
https://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/i ... tems.shtml
if ilvl < (99 – int(qlvl/2)= then affix level = ilvl - int(qlvl/2) else affix level = ilvl * 2 - 99.
I could find a link that says explicitly that... but those links say something close...
https://www.purediablo.com/strategy/dia ... ide-charms
https://www.purediablo.com/forums/threa ... lly.80535/
Note: Due to the Qlvl of SC’s any charms found that are under ilvl 28 can all spawn with the following mods: (For simplicity’s sake they will be listed as ilvl 1 as they can be found anywhere in the game).
the same links indicates that Large Charms have a Quality Level 14
Note: Due to the Qlvl of LC’s any found with an ilvl under 14 can spawn the following mods: (For simplicity’s sake they will be listed as ilvl 1 as they can be found anywhere in the game)
And as nothing is said about Grand Charm, I assume they have quality level 1🤔

Maxroll kinda confirms that with the shimmering affix:
Small charm L33 affix, but requires L47 item (Qlvl 28 / 2 = 14)
Large Charm L34 affix, but requires L41 item (Qlvl 14 / 2 = 7)
Grand Charm L35 affix, requires L35 item (Qlvl 1 / 2 = 0)

That being said...
The answer to my original question is: new "individual affixes" affects the odds of the resulting item even when there isn't a new "affix family".
As the odds for
Ruby
Small Charm of Vita
decrease from L61 (minimum to get these affixes) to L62 (when 2 new "individual affixes" are available - Stalwart and Serpent's, but there is no new "affix family")

...And to thank you for your research!

Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."
