back in LOD a melee char would be locked out of attacks if a spell with a casting delay proced on hit, eg Frozen Orb from Rift on a Frenzy barb.
is this still the case?
specifically i want to make a berserker w. Phoenix, but not if Firestorm locks me out of attacks....

Yes, they fixed this in 2.4 (which was the patch for ladder season 1, in April 2022). Specifically, Firestorm proc from Phoenix won't lock you out of attacks any more.
