Hello guys, quick question: I'm using Fanaticism aura and let's say I obtained the runeword Beast which also grants Lvl 9 Fanaticism aura when equipped. Do they add up? My aura is already at lvl 22 so will it reach lvl 31?
Bonus question: Does such items give synergy to my other skills?
p.s. I won't use Beast as a Paladin, just mentioned it to give en example.

Can be used to make Runewords:
No, they don't add up. The stronger will take the lead and the other will be useless .
And no synergy neither.
The only thing that adds up is when two objects giving the same aura are worn by the same character, then they add up at the summed level of auras.
Most typical example is on Dream, if you use both items (shield + Helm) you end with the summed auras (and that's very interesting).

So what you're saying is an item doesn't add up to a paladin's natural aura, but auras from items will add up? What about Faith on an Act1 Merc and Beast on character, would those add up?

No, but the other way round synergies do work. A common example is a Dream paladin, maxing own Resist Lightning and Salvation to boost items' Holy Shock.
I never knew about this mechanic (beyond the higher level overtaking the lower, identical aura). I guess this was figured out at the character stat sheet.
