Description

Mosaic is a runeword dedicated to Martial Arts assassins and you want two of them or none because with just one the 50% chance of not spending your charges will be negatively affecting your tempo and muscle memory while clicking/button mashing.

Since all charges refresh their decay timers on hit while not being spent you can charge up literally ALL you possess at the same time as long as you keep hitting enemies with finishers.
This in turn means you can hit everything with a figurative nuclear bomb per each finisher. Enjoy the fireworks!

cannot be used together.
FoF at lvl 34 converts all physical damage to fire, which means you have 0 physical damage to leech from and 0 physical to transform to fire by
Dragon Tail
, making both skills useless.
At lower levels than 34 you can leech at least some with
Cobra Strike
but
Dragon Tail
will always have lower damage than it would have with no FoF charges active.

This is an extremely powerful runeword that utilizes otherwise underused mechanics of the "charge-up" skills (

) in the Assassin's Martial Arts tree. Things to know about these skills and Mosaic:
  • Charge-up skills are always subject to a to-hit calculation. The assassin will only accumulate a charge if the to-hit calculation is successful, to a maximum of three per charge-up skill.
  • Fists of Fire
    ,
    Claws of Thunder
    , and
    Blades of Ice
    can only be used if the Assassin has one or more claw-class weapons equiped. When activated, one to-hit check is made for each claw equipped. In delivering said checks, these skills use a special attack animation that is shared between them and
    Dragon Claw
    . One charge is accumulated for each successful to-hit calculation.
  • Finishing moves are subject to a to-hit calculation if the Assassin has no charge-up skills charged. If the Assassin has one or more charge-up skills charged, finishing moves are not subject to a to-hit calculation.
  • Under normal conditions, each hit from a basic Attack or finishing move will consume one charge from each charge-up skill and apply the appropriate effects of that numbered charge for each skill.
    Dragon Talon
    can hit a number of times as shown in the skill's description, and
    Dragon Claw
    can hit twice. Mosaic modifies the process of applying and consuming charges, creating a 50% (if the Assassin has one Mosaic equipped) or 100% (if the Assassin has two Mosaic equipped) chance that no charges are consumed in the process of applying the charges' effects.
  • There is no limit to the number of charge-up skills that can remain charged at one time. However, if neither a specific charge-up skill nor any finishing move hits any target for 15 seconds, all charges accumulated for that specific charge-up skill will disappear. In practice, this means the decay timer on all six charge-up skills can be reset simultaneously by a single finishing move.
