Charsi imbue

As you really only need 3 mods to spawn, I feel that imbueing

Eth Matri Javs (you need to be level 74 or higher for 450ed to spawn) is the only item you should really imbue, noting it has the highest chance of producing a JACKPOT item for you. You are looking for 4xx% Enhanced Damage,

Eth, Replenish Quantity.

I would like to add that I don't think the

Andariel loot bug works anymore in the latest patch of RoTW.
From what I remember, they fixed the bug so you can no longer leave her with the quest reward drops tag indefinitely by doing the A2 trick.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

If I remember correctly, somene said in a thread that this correction was in a recent patch notes

Quite possible, I am not sure exactly.
I just wanted to add this in case it helps someone avoid wasting unnecessary time for a bug that no longer works.

There is some great info packed in to these pages but my advice for anyone just starting the game is : absolutely do not refer to any guides at the start and simply enjoy your first play-through in the way you want, the way the game's designers originally intended it. You will enjoy the game more in the longrun, instead of smashing one's head against 'best practices' based on an endgame paradigm. It's the best advice i can give.

At the start of every ladder season I make sure to do the first playthrough fully to remind myself how fun the game actually is before the grind sets in

I mostly agree, noobs should make lots of genuine experiences and find out about lots of things themselves.

But there is one vital information that every noob needs before he starts, otherwise he will hit the wall hard and this is less fun than following this essential tip that the new player has not discovered himself. This tip is sadly not in the 24 points compilation (although these are all good points!).

Decide what your main damage skill will be and then you quickly max out this skill and then all its synergies.

This hopefully prevents the noobs from scattering their skill points among too many skills.

Using Skill Points in Diablo 2: (Check #24 for Gearing options for all classes)
1. You can max out each skill with 20 points, although bonuses to skills from gear pushes this beyond 20.
