Can be used to make Runewords:
I really crunched the game today to get a feeling for the changes.
Played around 8 hours non-stop.
I found a Sunder charm at the first Herald, and from then on, nothing but loads of DOGSHIT. It is true, you run into a Herald every 5 minutes. But it still is just ass. Best drop was a Harlequin Crest near the end of my session.
At this precise day, the game dropped as many shards as in the last month. What in the sweet name of Baal's balls shall I do with all that stuff? Waste them on boss runs??
Holy moly, Blizzard is dancing circles around the middle ground tree...

Shards (and uniques) are dropping super often in my TZ games now. Found Titan's twice within an hour... oO

Herald loot really is kind of crap now..and it is a bummer that they got even easier.
Then again, I guess if they don't even drop real loot anymore, they might as well be easier, that just lines up.
Just ran through one act plus a couple rotation TZs in between.
Ended up with 28 heralds.
One Bone Break so yay for that.
Apart from that, one single unique and even the rares I can count on one hand with a finger left over.
I get not going through with the mad drops they offered on the PTR. Though even those wouldn't have been as impactful since the 2- Herald-instant-spawn is gone again. But they really do feel significantly worse than they used to be. "About the same as a unique" feels like it isn't even remotely accurate as they seem significantly worse.
(Not just based on those 28 but also on ~P8 sharding since the patch hit.

After respeccing my Firelock to have 20 hard points in Bind Demon, I was looking for a Vile Mother with a Thorns aura in a 5 player TZ 96. Binding only normal versions, I had 8 with Vigor, 4 with Concentration, 1 with Fanaticism, 1 with Holy Freeze and finally the one with Thorns I was going for.mikelessar wrote: 2 hours agoIf the demons don't have an aura when they get bound, they roll a random selectable aura.Deerwoofer wrote: 4 hours agoOn a side note, the Megademons from the Pit of Acheron will now give you a Lvl 15 Salvation aura upon being consumed.![]()
I already started to think they were hard locked on Vigor alone.

Quick question? are sunders in all drop tables from all enemies or still are bounded to heralds and boss/super champions/elite?
OP
sunders drop from all enemies
I am online every day. I try to solve the offer as quickly as possible.
All enemies, via MF, same like a Gheed's Fortune. I.e., any grand charm that drops can become a Gheed's Fortune or one of the sunder charms, if you're lucky.Moreina wrote: 1 hour agoQuick question? are sunders in all drop tables from all enemies or still are bounded to heralds and boss/super champions/elite?
Heralds have a special treasure class that may specifically drop sunder charms (irrespective of MF), plus being able to drop regular grand charms that become unique via MF, like all mobs.
I'm in CET (Central European Time)
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.
Holy Grail Death Count: 1

OP
Now for me heralds are useless.

Oh well, I see a lot of people ungry with this change, but as Java, I spend last season looking for a Crack of the Heavens (since griffon is a unicorn already lol) and no luck at all, so really hope to get one this season.
Thanks for the reply, it helps a lot, I will carry 350 MF around and see what drops, for now, just a couple of hours playing and it seems like loot is waaay better (it could be RNG or just got lucky on the runs), also tons of shards too.
I bound a normal Corrupt Rogue Spearwoman / Dark Lancer (L96 Cursed TZ Frozen River) and get Holy Freeze aura in the first attempt ( Bind Demon 20+)
The first impressions:
- It seems to procs Amplify Damage considerable more than Vile Mother w/ Fanaticism (but nothing close to the pre-patch
)
- And it seems that it deals considerable more damage Vile Mother too
(never tried Corrupt Rogue Spearwoman before...)
Even with less Amplify Damage procs and without Sigil Lethargy damage increase from old patch (

) it seems to be killing things faster than my Vile Mother Fanaticism pre-patch

Now waiting for TZ Rotation for an area with Vile Mother, Blunderbore or Corrupt Rogue Spearwoman to change my Bind Demon for one Cursed with Holy Freeze to test
fredkid wrote: 10 hours agoYou are confusing proc with area of effect, a single proc of a Cursed can curse almost full screen (as it uses a very high level of Amplify Damage)
So, the fact that many monsters were cursed is not a confirmation that there were many procs (as a single proc may cursed everybody)
What would confirm that the pulse can proc per monster would be the frequency, as with with 5% chance per monster, 14 monster would be enough to give you 50% change of proc (1-.95^14 ~ 51%) and 27 monsters would give you the old 75% (1-.95^27 ~ 75%)
So in dense areas like cows you would proc constantly if pulse can proc per monster instead of only once per pulse.
(Well, I will test later anyway)
Mizar wrote: 13 hours agoWell I have tried and tested it extensively myself, both on PTR and with the currently released patch. Holy Freeze checks for each mob separately, I am 100% sure of that. When the check succeeds it curses a large area, so it never just curses 1 or 2 mobs.
Aye, lancers are pretty baller if you want your demon to be doing the dmg for you.fredkid wrote: 12 minutes ago[..]
