Is this a new bind or one you had pre-patch? If new bind, did you get it from a Cursed Terror zone? I've had problems with binds coming from Cursed Terror zones saying they were Cursed but never ever procing Amp Damage (all pre-patch). What would confirm that the pulse can proc per monster would be the frequency, as with with 5% chance per monster, 14 monster would be enough to give you 50% change of proc (1-.95^14 ~ 51%) and 27 monsters would give you the old 75% (1-.95^27 ~ 75%)
So in dense areas like cows you would proc constantly if pulse can proc per monster instead of only once per pulse.
(Well, I will test later anyway)

That's bad news. I was getting some decent procs last night from Cursed/Freeze Urdar. Perhaps freeze is the aura to get now. Keep in mind that vile mothers can spend a lot of their time not actually attacking anything so...not surprising that you're not seeing any procs with that one.

I think you are confusing Vile Mother with another monster...
my Vile Mother attacks all the time, and it is actually my primary source of damage.
Merc uses Pride.
My other summons are two Summon Defiler
And I use no attack skill, just cast buffs/debuffs ( Death Mark, Engorge, Sigil Lethargy - that do not increase damage anymore
The "child minions" seems to never dies, so after she spawn 5, she never stop again to re-spawn them.
pre-patch, Amplify Damage procced all the time
OBS: pre-patch bind, bound in a L96 TZ (if it makes any difference in "child minions" survivability)

The new shard drop rate is ridiculous. I played the new patch for about 1 hour and I got seven shards! Insane.
You should all sell all your shards as long as there are still people buying shards. In a short time, the market will be flooded with tons of shards and they will hardly have value anymore.

Where'd you get yours? And with what affixes exactly?
When I experimented with those, the little ones kept dying so the mother was busy constantly re-summoning, rather than attacking anything. Plus she's big enough to get tele-locked which further limits her actual activity though I guess that part might not affect you much if you don't do much/any dmg yourself, rather than just supporting her and hence de-locking immediately anyways.
Bounded a regular Vile Mother on a L96 Cursed TZ River of Flame (had Bind Demon 20+ so she ended up Cursed, Spectral Hit, Extra Fast, Extra Strong and Aura Enchanted - Fanaticism)

So, as just another point of evidence I can basically echo the previous posts - terrorized Act I to try, got 4 shards (even the elusive northern), 8 heralds, loot throughout the entire run, including and especially the Herald drops, was absolute garbage. As if I were in Act I NM instead of a TZ 96.
If they can't get the loot balance for heralds right, then they should go all the way and make the rewards cosmetic entirely, like a Herald bounty hunting chronicle. Then make them actually fearsome enemies and you have a meaningful task for endgame characters that doesn't require endless grinding for keys and statues just to experience a handful of ultra-tough battles that are weighed in favor of certain character classes. Currently we just have uniques with attitude.
I like the shard frequency, though. It makes them more of an option instead of a gating mechanism, where you don't feel bad just because you don't exploit a shard for its fullest effect; this way you can roam a couple of your favorite spots in leisurely pace instead of the current rotating Frenzy. My bet is on Eastern Worldstone Shard being by far the most desirable for this effect, just so you can terrorize Tombs again and again and again

On a side note, the Megademons from the Pit of Acheron will now give you a Lvl 15 Salvation aura upon being consumed.

24 hours of new update. And i had to work and look after kids too today.

Now, my Warlock gained the temporary Lvl 15 Salvation aura on himself because he used Consume on the demon. I could afford to test this, even though it was a Pit Lord from the Pit of Acheron because I wanted to respec anyway. The screenshot below shows the demon before consumption.
