fury druid merc

I am currently leveling a Fury druid. I found a superior

Eth

Decapitator and made a Death and leveled this character just for the Death

Axe.
It's so fun so far - I am considering using a

Bash barbarian act 5 merc with the new

Dreadfang for the amp damage proc just to do something different.
other options i'm considering are

Frenzy a5 merc with dual Lawbringer or of course good ol act 2 might + reaper's toll.

I feel like the amp damage proc would be pretty fun and a little different though.

In my experience, Act I merc with Faith works really well.

Fanaticism allows you to hit better IAS breakpoints with a weapon that has no IAS itself, while still increasing your damage, and you don't really need the extra body from a melee merc. Additionally, I use my Fury druid for ubers, and the rogue is much better at staying alive and having an impact on the fight.

I also use Delirium on her (the manic pixie dreamgirl) and, overall, have found it's much more useful than the Act II merc.

oh that's a good idea. I don't have a

Jah to make Faith offline, but i don't really have a use for a

Jah so if I get another one i think I'll make that!

so far my a5

Bash merc and a2 merc cannot keep up with my Fury druid at all.
I'm going to try a5

Frenzy merc with Lawbringer (for

Decrepify) and Mania? whatever the new Hustle is for the lvl 1 fanatacism with a Hustle (Hysteria?) armor and see if he can keep up with my wolfy boy

Last Wish paired with Lawbringer on A5 Merc is also very nice.

Problem with Hustle in a weapon is lvl 1 aura has a so small range and you can't reposition him without Enigma
You will be out of aura range every times. That's why Faith A1 or Hustle in armor can be

Key.

I'm also loving Fury Druid, and want to lock in the merc.

I am inclined to run Might Merc + Pride, but

Decrepify/amp dmg seems crucial to handle the physical immunes.

So I currently run non-

Eth Reaper's Toll with Treachery and Cure.

I have played the Fury druid a few times and also again this season (hardcore ladder players 1). All of my Fury druid builds have the Act 5

Frenzy merc as a trusty companion. Two things are mandatory imo to get the best results. A Lawbringer and most importantly a Hustle/Hysteria armor. Without the Hustle armor he lags behind and is not much of use. As a Fury druid you do not

Teleport but run around quite quickly. With Hysteria he is always right behind you.

Helmet I either go woth

Kira's Guardian or

Darksight Helm because of cannot be frozen mod. But in case you have a

Cham you can use Vamp Gaze,

Crown of Ages, G-Face etc.

The second weapon is optional. In case your Fury druid needs more IAS Hustle/Mania is great. But with Metamorphosis you usually do not need the IAS. As a second weapon good options which I tested are

Crescent Moon (

Static Field proc), Voice of Reason (for some crowd control), azurwrath (for a higher

Sanctuary Aura and solid damage against undead) or even an etheral djin slayer will get the job done.

Concering the attack speed it is important that the merc hits as fast as possible right out of the gate without any

Frenzy stacks. Therefore I use at least one

Phase Blade. In most cases, I use the

Phase Blade for the Lawbringer since the physical damage amount for this weapon is very low.

The merc does not necessarily need life leech (note that the life leech from the Lawbringer is very very low due to the low physical damage of the weapon).

Oak Sage helps a lot. In case maxed the barb has plus 6k life. A few pets also help his survivability.

My merc basically never dies, regularly procs

Decrepify, kills undead quite quickly and most importantly keeps souls and dolls in check with his sancuary aura from the Lawbringer. And nowadays most importantly, he helps out quite a lot against undead heralds in case needed.

I tested the

Dreadfang with the

Bash barb. It was nice to play with for a change but it is by now means on the same level as the

Frenzy barb.

The Fury druid can run pretty fast and an act 2 merc can have issues keeping up with your speed which results in him not doing much (so no

Decrepify proc from reapers). I would go with an act5

Frenzy barb using Lawbringer and Hustle, he is super fast and will proc

Decrepify quite often.
