I use ig around 3 days ago, it is carry over between games.

You have to leave the game with the item that gave the charges still equipped. Otherwise the golem will disappear upon creating a new game

what gives charges apart from metal grid? how squishy is the golem at lvl 22?

for high performance quick run builds it's a risk/annoyance of course.. but for slow fun runs it's a nice boost

what items would be good for following builds?

fire sorc -

Medusa's Gaze? Infinity ?
self wield Infinity zon?
icemaiden? if merc wears Faith maybe golem out of Insight?
bowzon.. Mist and Faith already equipped, maybe add something with might?
Plague zon.. also medusa?
firezon with Phoenix equipped and Faith on merc?

another idea.. if i stick a few (cheap) facets into an item and make a golem out of it, will it boost my elemental dmg?

it will boost

Iron Golem elemental dmg but not your char.


This amulet is very useful , it is my favorite amulet.
But it will cost a lot of uniques....even with strongest

Stormshield, it will only last around 15 run. For non shield, like Insight, it will last 1-3 run....

I tried last season full set. end up equip it by myself .

gaze is kind of strong shield, my run , it usually dead in 10 run. slightly lower to best strom shield 15 run.

You have to continue to purchase medusa shield from others, it is cheap but

Consume too fast.

so for physical chars

Dreadfang and

Lacerator would be good.. but fragile probably. or Last Wish on the ludcrous end
for elemental

medusa cannot socket new jewel because it still fagile, too expensive. You can easily beat that with another medusa shield resummon

right.. even if he was durable i would lose him to disconnect pretty soon.. just imagine losing 2x

So I tested it.. always a good idea before theorycrafting

The golem dies as soon as you take off the amulet. so you can't summon, swap to a good amulet and swap back before exiting. he does survive when you reenter the game.

meaning for sorc, neither medusa nor Plague make sense. Infinity could make sense maybe but it's just too crazy.

it could make sense for a bowazon theoretically with

Dreadfang or

Lacerator..

Atma's Scarab is also not good

btw which aura does golem have by default and what lvl? if some crazy person makes him out of Last Wish, will he get both auras?

upd: tested with bowazon with a golem made out of

Dreadfang, he died almost instantly in non-terrorized worldstone keep. good thing i didn't invest Infinity or Last Wish
so, back to

Atma's Scarab, no use case detected
aura seemed to be no aura at all but just an optical effect?
and does tooltip in planner on this site actually says truth about hp, it didn't feel like 8k base + 50% from cta..
