You've got to define what BiS means for you! Kill speed, survivability, item find, etc? EDIT: HAHAA (OP and I are good friends, this post was meant to tease him, and not in real seriouness. I intended for it to have a laugh at the end but clearly that did not make it in my post.

And it depends on your build anyways. If you're struggling to kill stuff then yes get those max/ar charms (or a better weapon). If you're dying get some life/all res charms. If you have no issues killing stuff and you aren't dying then get some WC GCs.

i switched to

Frenzy Trav hork and I have a couple of charms with AR and Life but mostly 7% MF small charms and its easy, i average about 1 minute a run with identifying and vendoring stuff and killing

Woah dude, I thought we were friends. What makes you react so seemingly visciously? I can't differentiate between whether or not you're making a good-natured chide, or if you're actually frustrated. Is there an issue with my posts, or with the frequency or content? I would like to know if there are rules I am breaking, or guidelines that I'm flaunting.

My question is genuine, and not just to farm my lvl 99 profile: I want to know the pro's opinions on charms for the barb, because, contrary to other characters, they use all of their skill trees, and all three of them have diminishing returns. After you berated me, you gave the answer that I was looking for: namely, 'use

War Cry skillers if you don't need anything else'.

However, I doubt that

War Cry skillers will be more beneficial than others: I am at 70%

Find Item, and I would need several skillers for just a couple of percentages more. I personally doubt this is useful, hence my original (if succinct) question. I think damage/AR GC's would do more. Also, thanks for reminding me: to look at what you need and simply buff up lacking aspects, such as resists, with charms. That's a very wise rule of thumb.

My question is not just about builds or what I need, but more generally a question of which barb skill tree has the least diminishing returns. I think you're right to simply go for what you need most, but is there a a clear conclusion?

Thank you, this makes sense. Like, Knappogue said, you decide what you need or want to specialize in. It's nice to see those archetypes come through.

Which skill tree do you think has the least diminishing returns? I.e. benefits most from (hard) skill points?

To get best setup, you will need calculator when you add charm (start from empty, add 1 charm, run calculator and test is in real, monitor enemy hp). if you dont want that trouble. Just do 2. the difference is very small, likely every 100 , you get extra 5. But the time cost for you to find optimal is definitely able let you run 10.

Gold, do 7% mf fill all.

I use a mix, a couple warcry skillers, a gheeds, and a bunch of small and large charms with dmg, ar, life, and/or str/dex.

War Cry skiller have dimish return.
usually it need monitor when you add one, sometimes 2-4 skill does not even increase 1%, means useless add.

mix is usually optimal solution if you run cal
