Latent and Renewed Sunder Charms

Apparently there are now latent sunder charms which only drop from Heralds in

Terror Zones. Those can then be upgraded with the cube to renewed sunder charms with extra affixes. Guess it will take some effort now to get a perfect sunder for every char.

"Some effort" is probably quite the understatement with that many random rolls.

Really not a fan of that one though. Sunders were already too obligatory for nearly every build. Making them even stronger and hence even more obligatory...ugh.

Recipes are shown in the video at 1m17s. But it's just a colored table from MrLlamaSC. The table shows normal sunder charms but those should not work. As far as I understood it you need the latent version from a herald. The recipe is then latent sunder charm + perfect gem + rune + worldstone shard. No Idea why they made

Black Cleft the most expensive recipe.

Kind of weird that now all sunders that drop are antiperfect until you reroll them.

Maybe because the warlock can use magical damage ? They added a lot of items related to magical res. It would make sense to me... Magical sunder were only useful for Paladin I think.

Edit : Also, can someone explain what does it mean, for the magical sunder, "Southern WSS", "Northen WSS" and "Deep WSS", please ? Is it related to the craft or not at all ?

Yes, they are also ingredients in the recipe. These are the five new Shard items/materials.

(WSS = Worldstone Shard)

Western Worldstone Shard
Eastern Worldstone Shard
Southern Worldstone Shard
Deep Worldstone Shard
Northern Worldstone Shard

They also roll different affixes each time not the same.. So the roll pull can make or break a charm..

Just wondering, let's say when the latent sunder is -90 res, when you re-roll it to the renewed sunder, does the -90 res stays the same or does the figure also gets re-rolled?

I skimmed through some of the new uniques and I thought at least a couple of them looked like they were aimed at improving the usefulness of magic damage-based skills.

As far as I know the -90 res is re-rolled.

Latent sunder charms will always have the worst roll when they drop. Then when you "renew" it will roll that variable we are used to seeing plus all the new affixes.

I agree. It also makes me question whether it's worth trying to renew a perfect-rolled Sunder Charm (especially -10%

This and the 6 rows on the new Jewels after the fact that it's a 1/6 drop for the one you are hunting is what made me NOT purchase the Xpac.

Too much Diablo 3 for my taste.

If Buzzard finds a brain cell and makes the QOL changes apply to LOD I would get it in a heart beat. They changed how the stash looks with the scrolling pages and only having 2 tabs, which again for MY TASTE looks much worse than before.

Now this begs a question... Can old charms (already on characters) also be reforged and if so can we do that at a later date as well -- for example by creating LoD character, farming charms the regular way and then turning that character into RotW and reforging them (it doesn't seem logical I know)?

I really do hate that change and I'm also with many of you who say that compact stash tabs with pages just look and feel atrocious.

Teebling hasn't added a filter for -enemy magic res yet, but he's working on it.
