Can be used to make Runewords:
I was playing around with Lava Gout gloves on my bowazon and they are quite effective!
I was wondering though, when the Enchant proc takes place, does it change ALL damage to fire damage? If so, should I use a fire sunder charm?

OP
I'm not 100% sure, but I think they just add extra flat fire/poison damage to your attacks. I don't think any damage is converted - not even physical.
If you do decide that it's necessary to use a sunder charm, then it should be most effective to use one that matches whatever element most of your overall damage is coming from.
Personally, I don't think that sunder charms are necessary unless you don't have a strong backup attack of a different element. I also think that it can be more efficient to just skip enemies with immunity or even high resistance to your main damage type.
I have a character that has access to Venom from a runeword, but it's not particularly potent for an endgame non-poison build. Level 15 Venom is only about 350 poison damage over half of a second.
The attack rating you get from Enchant is generally the most valuable bonus on a weapon-oriented character IMO.
Some sorceress builds like Enchant, because they use it do double dip in Fire Mastery. An optimized enchantress build will give literally thousands of bonus fire damage points.

All trades are non-ladder softcore

Enchant adds fire damage, it doesn't convert your physical damage (or other damage types) to fire.
Same with Venom: Skill - it adds poison damage to your attacks, it doesn't convert your attacks to poison.

AFAIK the only things that should "convert" your physical dmg are Berserk, Cold Arrow, Fire Arrow and Fists of Fire, all others sources and skills just add 'bonus dmg' on top of what you already have.
Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."
... But indeed Lava Gout are excellent gloves, very often forgotten - for a build that misses AR (hello barbs!) they can be an excellent choice for the AR bonus especially
Main: Necromancer / Second: Assassin / Third: Amazon / Check my stash, my crafts and my many cheap Annihilus
Problem is 2% is low for prebuff.

Also Magic Arrow, Dragon Tail, Lightning Bolt (but not Lightning Fury).TheDoo wrote: 1 month agoAFAIK the only things that should "convert" your physical dmg are Berserk, Cold Arrow, Fire Arrow and Fists of Fire, all others sources and skills just add 'bonus dmg' on top of what you already have.
And also Concentrate and Frenzy - according to the Amazon Basin, they are bugged:
While the synergy bonus displayed is Berserk: +% Magic Damage per Level, suggesting 20 points would result in 20% magic damage being added to physical damage, 20% of physical damage would actually be converted to magic damage, resulting in 80% physical and 20% magic damage.
For an amazon? With Strafe? Players use Atma's Scarab for its 5% Amplify Damage proc, and it remains useful despite its low proc rate. Lava Gout's Enchant has only 2% chance, but has to proc only every 6 minutes.
Good old Demon Limb is still better, though.
For a barb.
Demon Limb is nice, but cost very expensive de repair without cube. With only 20 charges, you have to repair very often.
I only use it for Ubers.

Lava Gout and Demon Limb are excelent options in scenarios of lack of AR. If AR isn't an issue, Laying of Hands is better, grants IAS, tons of FR and damage to demons.
Dragon Tail do not convert your damage (I made that same confusion on other thread an somebody explained...)
It add extra Fire damage based on your physical damage, but it do not reduce (or convert) the physical damage part of your kick

Costs 0.5 trav runs with a horker barbTornado_OLO wrote: 1 month agoFor a barb.

A Gold find barb isn't a barb for me ^^

Well, I guess it depends on what's cheaper and more convenient for you, that or having an Obedience to proc.
Even a Frenzy Barb with Raven Frost equipped who shatters alot of corpses can still make like 250k on 1 trav run with 1 point into Find Item though.

I know but using hork breaks the sequence of fights. You slow down the rush/kill fun.
Chain the fights is in the DNA of D2. So doing hork too often is boring.

I felt the same thing while playing my Double Throw Barbarian (feels like I spend more time horking than killing - and let me thinking that I could be doing a second run instead
)
Totally agree! Doing Trav runs where you meet same 10 enemies over and over and over again, in general, and then yelling at some corpses just to farm Gold wasn't and will never be my thing. Especially when you are doing this every day for hours (which I know some people do, I'm not saying BigD is one of them ofc)... After 2 days I would probably gouge my eyes out and pull all of my hair and leave D2 to rest for another 10 years or so xd
I'm also not saying it's the "wrong way to play the game" but from a different point of view, many things that are expensive to repair/recharge are just not the way to go for a casual player.
P.S. Zealer actually actives Lava Gout at a fairly fast rate even tho it's just 2% but it surely is meant more for something like Multishot/ Strafe Zon than it is for something like a Smiter.

If you stop to hork every trash mob you come across yeah youre gonna be wasting alot of time, unless youre looking for a certain base item.
Kill all the council members and then hork em when youve laid them all out, or only the superunique youre killing.
Iunno. Thats just me.
