After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)
Time Zone: UTC/GMT +1/+2 (Germany)
Online workdays: casually from 07:00-09:00 pm
Online weekends: casually midday to evening

This is in my view a lucky run but it’s not the drops I feel is the luckiest part of the run. Right off the Halls of Pain Waypoint I found a gem shrine. All I had worth boosting was a plain Amethyst which gave me a flawless. Then only seconds later before I arrived to the entrance of the Halls of Vaught, I ran into another gem shrine and that gave me a Perfect Amethyst. I felt luckier finding the two back to back gem shrines than I did the other drops. Remember, luck is relative, and if someone posts something they think is luck, then they’re lucky.
Please post offer in item trade before adding me on Bnet, I'm in EST time zone (E Coast U.S)

Well yea, all my drops are ID'd aren't yours? Over the last several days I've had 3 or 4 unique rings drop and they were all Nagel rings. Like another member I could've taken a screenshot of nothing but it would still be nothing. I left the 4os Rune Master behind, and never even checked the Ogre Axe. At the time I was testing taking screenshots switching off HDR settings to see if it would improve my images which often look washed out, so yes I ID'd the items and then tossed them back for a screenshot, but you generally ID them anyway before taking a screenshot. Turning off HDR does seem to work but it makes the game less visually interesting so you're forced to switch while in game. My post was more about the two back to back gem shrines which I found interesting and how luck is relative.

Ya know, if ever they wanted to monetize d2:r again, just start selling a Cain pet that auto-IDs your drops before even picking them up. Not saying I'm for it..but it'd certainly work as a money maker. ^^

I totally agree. Finally I bought an @Res 2-20 Sorc Amulet.
First, I felt lucky, then I started to doubt myself: I spent a big amount of my Jah runes on it. Was it worth it? Before I left the house I did two Chaos runs. The damage increase because of the +2 Skills on the Amulet is noticable, more than I thought (had a plain 20 FCR Amu before). First run gave my a Lem rune, second run a Lum rune. I mean, the value of these runes is next to nothing, but they made me feel lucky again

Hm, I have still mixed feelings about those GG amulets (especially when considering how "pricy" they are and that my sons would kill me if I spend our JAHs on one )... With my cold Sorc I use a Mara, reach the 105 fcr breakpoint and have all res max (with Sunder Charm). In my estimation the only reasonable upgrade for which I would need fcr on the amulet is by changing my Oculus with Death's Fathom . But then I also loose a huge amount of MF, res (losing the more res on Mara and The Oculus) and some life, too - and I would have to compensate that with even more expensive gear like SCs with life, mf (which actually is impossible beacause I already have 7 mf on all my current SCs) and allres . If I am overlooking something, please let me know
