I think the answer is "no", there is no difference in base magic find stat between different classes.

When I'm not slaying demons, I'm usually out hiking mountains.

Nope, but some characters/builds are easier to dedicate as MF character since you can downgrade your equipment a lot and still not lose anything/much in the clearing speed/farming department.

The loot tables for each mobs are set and at no point does your character class change that table. So no matter what character you are playing it has no affect on what can or will drop when magic finding.

The only thing to add is the barbarian's
Find Item
is like a chance for a double drop. But then you're stuck playing a barbarian and that just feels bad.... :p
