Aldur's Build

Hi there. I searched for the world 'Aldur' and didn't get the straight answer, so i create this topic. If it is repeated or break other community rules, please inform and i delete it.

Have anyone did a build (skills and items) that utilizes the Aldur's Watchtower? Aside the Boots, none uses the other items, let alone the complete set.
There is a combination for the other slots (amulet, rings, shield, glove and Belt) that can make it viable on Hell difficult?

You can make a half-decent weapon out Aldur's Rhythm if you upgrade it to elite and socket it with a Protector's Stone and 2 x 40/15 jewels (Ruby Jewel of Fervor). But I have never actually tried that - and the set might be more suitable for a summon build, either way.

The set is not very good for any build. For a physical shapeshifter the weapon´s damage is way to low, for fireclaw the +skill is way to low (you can get the +4 just from Jalals Mane) and the attack speed isn´t very good either, druids attack faster with 2handed weapons.
For an elemental druid there is not enough +skill and no fcr at all. With all the sockets you might get it playable with good rainbow facets and fire\cold uber jewel. But at this point it gets much more expensive than better alternatives.
For Summoner there is no real benefit either.
Defensive stats are solid, but thats about it.

It's usable but it's not good. If you want to use it, you can go through hell with it.

The issue is that it's lacking too much for every build:
- Shape shifters want to use two-handers, not a shield and a low damage one-hander.
- Elemental druids need skills, faster cast rate, and -enemy res. Themis set only provides a few skills.
- Summoner is the most viable. This set is still weaker compared to other medium gear (e.g. dual Spirit).

Furthermore, you need a rather high level to equip the full set.

On the plus side: It has some decent defensive stats. After upping the weapon you might enjoy running a hybrid melee/Summoner.

Its a pity that this set is even weaker than those made for others chars (and that means a lot, because almost every set is surpassed by low-level unique items and some middle-level runewords).

Finished the Hell difficulty (P1) with more or less struggle. Some things i noted:
- Using the Werebear increases the damage by little (dont have the itens to achieve the brakepoint of 6);
- Upgraded the weapon to elite helps (not a game changing, but improves the DPS a bit; didnt find the 40/15 jewels do add at the weapon sockets);
- When facing fire imunes (i have the firecharm), best swap to a Obedience Elite Thresher (the -25% fire resistance helps a lot for them, more than the skill points);
- Act 2 merc with an The Reaper's Toll (when the curse proc, helps himself and the physichal part of Armagedon and Fire Claws);
- If i have an hellfire charm and some shapeshifting grandcharms, maybe the results have been better...

Anyway, i don't know if there is anything more to talk about this set.
Not the best of the chars, but if someone want to uses the Aldur's set, i think it can be much more than this

Wayyy back in the day, I used a unique build that was pretty Unique like 20 years ago, when I was a teen. It was an Aldurs hybrid Windy/Shock-Bear that used 7x cold facets for +/- 35% cold damage. And of course I had Torch, Anni, and 9xEle/7% frw GC's, it was a fun build. Basically I just run fast, and switch to bear for near immortality I can keep resummoning. And the interesting thing.. not sure if everyone knows, but the "Death facets" will proc over and over every time you take critical damage and unsummon from Bearform, so you could continually re proc it.

I think it's mainly suitable for a Fireclaws druid. It also has up to 6 open sockets and still has a shield slot so you could presumably wield a Phoenix shield as well.

Fireclaws doesn't care about weapon damage, only weapon speed. And with so many open sockets available you can put in Shael runes and jewels of fervor, to say nothing of Rainbow facets. It's a viable if off-meta use case.
