Quite a bit, but manageable. My zealot pays around 10k per durability point on his superior Archon Plate, but it only gets damaged in around 1 in 3 runs.
EDIT: Mage Plate turns out around 8k per durability point. And stupid me, I didn't repair the base before making the runeword and was hit with a 200k repair Bill.
