-Lightning resis for Trapsin?

Hi!

So FC does not work for a trap assassin, it is the trap laying speed: the attack speed, ok.
But does that mean, that the trap is totally indipendant of the assassin?

So the question is:
does -lightning resis% work for a trap assassin?

If it works, i am thinking about a

Crescent Moon instead of a ghost sword.
Would you agree on that?

I only have cheap gear:
OrtSol helmet (Lore)
Viper magi or Treachery is planned
Sigons gloves +

Boots
Immortal King

Belt is planned
ghost shield is planned
and currently i use ghost sword, or maybe later crescend.

Yes, -% to Enemy Resistance DOES work for Assassin traps now.

In the past, traps were considered pets and therefore -% to Enemy Resistance did not affect them, but that was changed as of patch 2.6.

Also,

Crescent Moon is best on a

Phase Blade, as trap laying speed is dependant on weapon speed, and Phase Blades are the fastest weapons around.

Hm... i didnt thought the assassin traps needed a buff.

oh, i was not aware of that! I knew attack speed has an influence, but i did not thought about weapon base speed. I thought i could choose any weapon. So will be

Crystal Sword... it has a base speed 0 whereas the

Phase Blade has a base speed of -30 (much faster).

To look up base items use the

Arreat Summit. It has the most complete collection of skills and base item stats despite being a 20-year-old website! (It's missing all the stuff that came out since D2R launched though).

Arreat Summit. May I also humbly suggest the bases database category here - it has more data fields like treasure class, max sockets by iLvl, mapping to runeword bases, ethereal values etc. and is up-to-date

With a whopping 136 Dex requirement, i would not choose phaseblade.

A longsword (or

Military Pick...) would be 1 frame slower ... (probably 0 with

Burst of Speed)
Since you should not continuously lay traps ... it does not worth the extra Dex points ^^

Probably not worth on its own, but when you invest into dex for max block, you'll meet PB reqs "for free".

As an assassin you'd benefit a lot more from a

Greater Talons or a

Runic Talons as they also have -30 base speed along with

Phase Blade and can also come with +skills, I guess you just won't be able to make

Crescent Moon with them, which is unfortunate.

You cannot build

Crescent Moon in claw weapon...

For a budget build I use:

Crescent Moon

Phase Blade (-35 res)
15% light dmg

Ormus Robe with 5/3 facet (+20% light dmg and add -3 light res total).
+ 2 skills / 30 FRW

Circlet with another 5/3 facet or

Shako for MF.
With skillers it gives 11k light damage and about ~40% light res.
Can put traps under

Fade with 10 FPA or BOS with 9 FPA.

Offline players even had to wait until 2.7. They kinda messed it up in 2.6 and patched it on server side only. So yeah, brand new.

Would be nice an armor with 4 facet 5/5, isnt it?? (+20 light damage -20 light resis)

Natalya's set is rather interesting for that purpose these days with the 3 os in the armor
