You can just enter those items in the price check or click on price history on the corresponding database page and look for similar ones sold in the past. E.g.

Additional stuff : one trade post per item. Seems annoying to start, but way better then !

Also, those rings I would WTS doesn't appear when I look for them on PRICE CHECK.

Unique (gold), set (green) and magic (blue) stuff can be checked with the price check. For rare (yellow) and crafted (orange) you should post a screenshot here to get a reply what they are worth.
