Description by TeeblingCan be used to make Runewords:
Holy Freeze merc. Merc could solo Baal with the thing. Would take forever if I actually let him, but the 75% slow was effectively a stunlock!
I bought this one the second I saw it available for trade. Not sure what I wanna socket into it yet... hell maybe I'll Zod it and made a bad build with it! xD
This was my favorite merc weapon back in LoD. It was on my Blizz MF Sorc's

Tal Rasha’s Guardianship is honestly so good for any class. Huge MF and huge resists. +40 AllRes is easily better than +1 skills from Skullder’s Ire.
My tesladin uses it now and so does his merc.

You know, I've played this game for a while and not missed any of the (amazing, excellent, so very good) features from Path of Exile, but seeing this bow's resurrected art for the first time tyhe other day made me really wish we had skin transfers. I don't even have an archer, but I'd make one to skin that on an Ice, or Faith, or BotD, or, idk, whatever those crazy bow kids are using these days.Teebling wrote: 3 years ago ...on the runner's up list for me is ... Rogue's Bow for the cool artwork.
Grandfather is my most nostalgic item. My friend gave me one in high school to convince me to play a pirated version of this game. I bought the game the next day, because I was so worried Blizz could tell and was going to take my sword.
Lightsabre is one of my favorites, just because I'm a nerd. As I type this, my wrist is dragging some aluminum shavings around from a hilt I'm working on.
I'm proud of this thread for not flocking to Enigma -- and I know it can be polarizing, but it really does level the playing field in the endgame, and I can appreciate that.
Windforce used to be my gold standard for Wealth. I remember getting one shortly before runewords came out, and I was so infatuated with it.
And an honorable mention for White. So much utility, and with the number of staff mods you can roll (and even shop) on wands, it's such a strong runeword for so little investment. I shopped my base Wand and runes before my first toon (and necro, clearly) was a high enough level to use it in D2R. When I'm on long work calls, sometimes I'll pop into norm A2 and see if Drognan has any new and exciting bases for me. I buy any I see with skill combos I think might be good (as well as any with +3 Bone Spear). So far, I haven't been able to replace my first, which came with +2 Clay Golem. Gumby is just too useful. But I've found some others that I'm sure would make some other necros happy. I should start handing them out...
But I think Delirium is probably my favorite. I remember making it the night is was released, and running around normal just letting mobs hit me to proc the morph. Just so good. Really looking forward to making a Manic Pixie Dream Rogue when I don't need my merc to have Insight so bad.
Who the heck looked at the awesome Bone Helm base, and thought 'less Bone, more Helm'???UnrivaledPiercer wrote: 3 years ago
Vampire Gaze is probably my second favorite. I'm still really irked by how ugly they made it in Resurrected though. It looks SO HORRIBLE now. I love the original green visage, but the new one is... just awful.
Second for Homunculus -- the juiciest sidearm for necromancer that I just can never give up. Great blocking, amazing all-res (I have mine socketed with a cheapo Diamond and it gives +59!!), and even though you don't normally go for +curses it makes me so happy to have it on there since they're so fun to use.
Plus, for those unfamiliar with the sensory Homunculus:
I bet a Barb could nuke Ubers with that (Zodded). Lifetap Wand on switch but maybe throwing axes ( Lacerator) in inv for proccing AD and for clearing mobs. didn’t devs say they’re adding Pierce chance to barbs Throwing Mastery? Pierce is literally the only reason Amazon is good, would be godly on Barb even if it caps out at only like 40%…before Razortail!P2Mc28 wrote: 2 years ago image.png

All godly blue items just rock. The chance for two sockets at Larzuk is just such a nice touch on this game…WhirLWinD wrote: 3 years ago I've gotta go with a +6BO Guardian Crown, or Conqueror Crown. Reason is because I love making BO Barbs, and trying to get to the max Level 57BO with Battle Command + Skill Shrine! Finding one is rare, but even more rare to get one with 2 sockets from Larzuk!
For me, it's probably the Homunculus as well. I've Fallen in love with this head since LoD, and made it my goal to get it, and low and behold, it dropped for me in one of the sarcophagus while running Tal Rasha's Tomb, back 20 years ago. Best feeling ever.
However, i'd like to to also mention my most hated item is Harlequin Crest Shako. I never liked the item due to it's ugly-nest. I refused to wear it to this day. Every time i get it I traded it away or gave it to my friends. I refuse to wear something so ugly on me, so to this day, I still wear a Lore Grim Helm instead. it looks way cooler on my necro. I also refuse to make Delirium on my necro as any other Helm looks way too ugly. Only Bone or Grim Helm looks good.

Lim-Dul, the Necromancer
You can make Delirium in a Bone Visage. Does that not count?
The Grandfather - even tho never really played a build using it, I really liked the name, 20'ish years ago and still today .
Prices are negotiable

Why'd you make that in an Eth Helm? Won't it eventually break?ggs wrote: 2 years agoYou can make Delirium in a Bone Visage. Does that not count?

Also, I totally forgot about Blackbog's Sharp! Back in the day, I found one, and rolled a Poison Dagger necro just to use it, because I thought it looked soooo cool. Now, the hilt and guard are a bit much for me, but the tight (albeit impractical) curve along the Blade still scream cool to me.
It would, but it's for my merc--Just modeling it for the screenie.halflife wrote: 2 years agoWhy'd you make that in an Eth Helm? Won't it eventually break?ggs wrote: 2 years agoYou can make Delirium in a Bone Visage. Does that not count?

Don't be a heathen, Imbue it like a man. At least lvl 95. LolArsteel wrote: 3 years ago I love myself a good, triple upped rare Wirt's Leg. Upping once turns it into a Hand Axe, two more turns it into a Tomahawk. Cool stuff.
Xbox GT: Cinomed541 add me if you need someone to play with.
In terms of look, I think they did an awesome job on many items, but I tend to like rusty Scythes and more elegant Halberds.
Too bad they don't show up on the mercs actual look.

Fort me it's Arm of King Leoric as I'm such a fan for summoner Necro. Just too good!
* I trade both ladder and non-ladder, please check before asking.
* All my trades are for runes, keys (especially KoT and KoH) and essences!
