Is it just me or has The Countess run become a bit more problematic recently. A lot of the Tower maps not being as straightforward to navigate as I remember them.

There are the occasional level where the left turn rule is more of an 'eventually correct' rule than an 'always correct' rule... but it's just luck of the draw. We as a species are excellent at spotting patterns, even if there aren't any.

Would also add it's important to notice the difference between the way the door is facing and the way the tile is facing. Sometimes the door sprite is facing the opposite way of the tile, or perpendicular to the tile. The predictable map mechanics are based on tiles, and to your specific question, no, I haven't noticed any issues at all with the tower. Sometimes they just wrap.
MrLlamaSc has a separate video specifically for A3 jungle map reading. I don't have the link handy, but you can find it on YouTube.
