Grief or Fortitude?

So I have one

Lo rune and I don't expect to find anymore soon. So my question is, if you could only make a Grief weapon or a Fortitude armor which would you make and why? I hope this can be discussed seriously and intelligently without any snarky comments lol.

Grief. It will change your life. Super versatile, adds flat damage, Duress/Treachery can give Fortitude a run for its money.

Grief IMO because it trumps any other weapon in the game and will allow you to kill faster/easier than Fortitude would without the Grief.

CTA can either break you (2

Ist for a 1BO) or make you (5+BO). I would still go for Grief OR try to trade for a

Lo with lower runes to see if you dont need to cube up, lets say 8

Gul runes.

My first CTA I got a horrible roll... I literally sit there at the screen saying to myself "REALLY!?" I wasn't too upset though, you know the old adage, if it first you don't succeed. 8)

If at first you don't succeed... trade for a completed CTA instead and leave the gambling to the addicts!

Grief is hard to beat. Yeah, I'll have to say go with Grief.

Grief without fort > fort without Grief.

Thats how I see this. UNLESS you're a smiter... I have a budget smiter and was using Heaven Light and myself and friends put together Grief and we ended up just selling it because it wasn't worth it at the time.

The kill speed on trash was better, but the boss speed (ubers) was hardly any different. Just single pulling Meph, doubling the other two.

But.. thats a rare instance. In the grand scheme of things... make the Grief.

So you all have sold me on Grief. I guess my next question would be is a

Phase Blade the best base and do I need one with ed?
I'm doing my best to build a Smiter so I am curious if there is a better route to go and if HOZ's going to be my best in slot shield. Keep in mind that I am also on a budget.

PB imo. Nothing to complain as you need the dex anyway to get max block up. Saves you some gamblingmoney as pb doesn't need repairs. ED PB is not worth it if you have some kind of budget.

HOZ is always good. Exile in

Eth base ain't cheap. Consider Rhyme as a budget alternative if tou happen to find a decent 2os palashield.

Phaseblade. The last time I tried Grief in a non-indestructible item had to go all the time to repair it (zealer).

PB hands down.

Concerning your question about an ed PB: Since the flat damage is added after the %ED from a potential superior PB (at least I think so), I don't think it's worth investing into a superior version.

Yep as its been answered, if you are swimming in the cash... get the superior.

If you are not, dont worry about it as its going to have the smallest impact.

Ohm and them

Lo. Deciding whether if the Cow gods will drop me a

Lo or to just cube one from the gems the cows give.

Lo as it hovers from

Ohm+

Vex+ 2-4 ists nowadays. wondering if I should trade for it or cube it or just make another CTA. I am current using a budget 1BO CTA.

Maybe I'll just make a game for trading
