No dupes, but there is a known bug that has peoples items disappearing due to the file size of the save file in D2R being bigger than OG D2. Once you acquire too many items on too many characters, some start to poof. Hopefully this is addressed soon because i have also noticed a few items missing from my stash.

Well all items are saved in the same spot in the files, so wither its on your person or not it can still poof. Ive just noticed some missing from my stash specifically.
I've heard that crafted items take up more file space and may be contributing to this issue. Though it still seems like you need to be really filling up with quite a few items with independent stats to cause this issue.
No no, multiple reports of "nice items disappearing which may mean dupe." Random gems missing -> weird file size difference between versions in single player. 2 things.

This was on multi player. I an quite confident I didn't accidentally drop them. This is so strange. Still very sad. Those gloves were super nice!
Ya ive also noticed items going poof out of no where so its definitely effecting Bnet too. These server issues are ridiculous and endless.

As long as it is not confirmed that bnet character save files work differently, we cannot isolate it to be single player issue only. It was tested on single player.
