Scroll of Resistance
There is a bug (fixed in D2R?) which makes the resistance bonus disappear (not reflected in LCS) when the character dies, until it joins a new game. For obvious reasons this is not a concern for Hardcore characters.
A quick addendum:
You MUST have 4 slots (2x2) available in your inventory (cube doesn't matter) otherwise scroll won't even drop and you will have an infinite loop of this quest's final conversation with Malah until you make room. When you make room and talk to her again, she will then drop the scroll for you and everything continues normally (you can use it whenever you want).
