I have this pipe-Dream / idea for discarded items in towns by players.
there shall exist a chest or a "scrap pile" or some clickable container, that has a small chance to drop a previously discarded item in that town (by another player),
I think it would be really fun, and would make the game more exciting for season starts, or fresh players, or just anyone really - to see what comes out of the trash bin lol.

I don't know about this. We already have plenty of begging players. Should we really also get players that search the garbage for some pitiful leftovers?
If this actually came, we would need squatters that drive Jerhyn from his palace and the feature to get drunk in-game (not just in front of the screen, which leads to the game spinning in two different directions). We could play drinking games with Geglash and extort Alkor to give us some more of his special potions.
No, I think free games offer enough free stuff.
It would be better to have some async trading platform/stores in-game, so you can post some items for free (or a given price), and ppl could pick them up, or buy them while you are offline
