Need a Tip for Sorc

Hi there,
i played my Sory till Hell /Act 5 as a Blizzad Sorc (I habe the Zunder).
Now she is going to die eaven at farming at the first 2 Bosses.
Should i respec into lightning or do you have a hint for me to handle it.
My equip is nothing special (just what i found).
Just forgott my Sorc is lvl 75

Farm Countess/ Andariel/Cows to gear and level up. On pure Blizz Sorc, damage still improves from 75-90 which equals higher survivability

Focus on maxing resist and put all pts into vita after reaching enough strg for Spirit Monarch.

Don't respecc to Lightning. Being more efficient with it compared to pure cold blizz requires high-end gear

If anything, lightning is more fragile than Blizzard sorc.
So your problem is not in the skill tree but more likely in the gear and stats.
If you share those, we can point out what might be wrong.
It also helps to know how you die.

I would recommend checking out guides/videos for how to gear this character. This guide gives a listing of good gear, skill points, and a video to walk you through it.

Those guides provide a view on a finished build but only do a little for explaining the basics and how to set up gear for surviving.

For instance, a Spirit Monarch is great but is not the best option for HC.

When you just started and have not much to trade seeing a build that has a torch, an Anni, and gear worth several Jah runes, and all you have is a Lem, you could get the impression that you will have to die until you reach this kind of gear (which is not true).

So before optimizing for damage, you need to optimize for survival.

To do that, you need res up at around 70 (esp. light and fire) and you need vita (or dex for max block, depends on your shield).

@OP: what does your res look like and how much HP / vita do you have? At your current stage, your gloves, rings, Boots, an likely amu and shield all need to boost your resistances. Your gear should require only little strength so that you can pump your life pool. And you can consider things like Whitstan's Guard if you want to block with your shield.

Act 5 has lot of cold immune. So go monoelemental damage is a pin in the ass. You consider respect to hydrorb? So you can has two types of damage. Hydrorb is one os the best builds for leveling ans one of the ancients is innume to cold. Or skip all areas of act 5. As you said in the other post you have some budget standard gear for a caster.

You are well geared with Magefist and vipermagi. But as I said. act 5 has lots of cold immunity and one of the ancients is cold immune. You must skip most of the act 5. Lightning is the strongest sorc if you have Infinity. If you don't have Infinity respect to hydrorb.

I also suggest switching +3 cold amu for +25-+30 all res if you havn't maxed them allready. Those are easily gambled.
