This is most likely a d2r thing as they did not do this in the original as far as I remember. But yes, its a funny little thing that not many might notice. Always trying to keep an eye out for this kind of stuff but youll never know what and where could be doing this kinds of stuff.

Try this, go to the River of Flame waypoint, then to the last statue on your left. Don't just look at the face or eyes but the horns on his head. Here's an image I just took. Notice the position of the horns.

I tested this in the d2 original, indeed they do have changes. Had no idea, weird how this didnt hit the eye before. Considering thats an spot players move around often :'d

I think it's easy enough to miss, especially back when we all played on small CRT's and had just finished the Hell Forge. Even when some know what they're looking for they might miss it.
I don't play my summon/Revive necro much so maybe this is way more common than I'm aware of. I did not know revives can be disfigured...and yes the failed Thorned Hulk was just floating around. Disfigured Thorned HulkRevive
