Metamorphosis work with wolfhowl?

So i was just playing around with my

Wolfhowl and noticed i was still in

Werewolf form when i switched to g-face.

Anyone know if you put Metamorphosis in a barb

Helm you could swap them out and get the mark of the

Werewolf?

Then maybe wield a Beast, get both marks?

Seeing how a druid can swap helms after buffing to Jalal and keep the buff I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do this.

Well i tried it. It does indeed work, but it’s extremely clunky and the damage output just isn’t there - at least the way i tested it.

I had a

Wolfhowl on, Metamorphosis in the backpack to swap out as needed. 2 x

Berserker Axe beasts, normal other melee gear, act 5

Frenzy merc with 2 x last wishes.

In transformed form i was rocking between 4.7-5.1k life (depending if i was in

Werewolf or wear bear form), and damage was between 5.7-6k, both for normal attack and

Feral Rage. The highest damage was the normal attack in bear form.

For skills i maxed the warcries, run/walk speed, then threw more points into natural resists and

Iron Skin…i couldn’t use any other warcries or combat skills.

Had no trouble surviving p8 terrorized zones or world Stone keep on p8, but just didn’t kill very fast.

Also the repair costs on the beasts were astronomical

I feel i could optimize it more, but only for negligible gains… maybe different merc set-up, or other gear choices, but meh

Yessir; released a video on this - it was all more or less fixed/made available in patch 2.6 - I timestamped the below to the Meta section/demonstration.

Disappointing… probably would need Fury or a way to

Whirlwind as a bear. I checked the ias breakpoints and they just don’t cut it especially with limited %skill damage modifiers.

Alternatively, procing mark of the bear with an offhand Beast on a ww barb would be part of the min-max formula.

Back when I was playing barb hardcore I was considering Metamorphosis to obtain the huge pdr boost from bear mark and also help me reach the max ias ww with Death zerkers, but I decided beforehand that I should just stick with Grief.

Granted, testing Grief with 75 cb without sacrificing loh or gorerider sounds interesting. But having only 180 seconds and gear swaps sounds un-bear-able

The solution is so close:

Wolfhowl gets Fury! That would be really cool and suitable with the name more.
