Iron Golem keeps disappearing?..

Yeah. But he is a streaming guy.

For him, dying is part of entertainment.

I am not.

For me, it's part of pain.

No one pays me for when I die.

I get a little upset when I die at level 98 and lose some XP. Just happened earlier today and lost XP worth of two hours of playing.
A while ago when I played the first character I lost a Duress armor and I was very sad. It was the best piece of gear at that moment.
I can't imagine how to die at level 98 or 99 on hard core and lose everything, plus a very big amount of time.

No one likes dying but we can't let it direct what we do. A couple of days ago I decided since I have 12 sets of Uber organs I would do an Uber run. I should've known better since the game had been laggy all day and moving through portals was slow. Nevertheless I opened a portal and entered, it seemed to take forever and by the time my Paladin had passed through my Merc was dead, my life ball was down to half, I was trapped in a Diablo

Baal, Diablo, and a number of their spawns. This was the first time in more than two years my Paladin died. Fortunately I was in a lobby game so I exited and recovered the remains in town.

No yeah I know how it works (

Iron Golem) and all, but it just seems so weak and waste of item. Especially as you cant go far from the summons as they unsummon automatically if gone too far.

I thought that too at first too...
But in the end, at least for me ,1 point in

Iron Golem,

Golem Mastery,

Summon Resist and standard +Skill is enough for it to survive (excluding Ubers). And I can't remember it disapear even once... (to note, I have Enigma)
And ended up being easy to keep 2-4 bases and 2 rune sets on stash/shared to do extras Insight if the Golem eventually die...

If you don't need

Clay Golem slow effect, I think you can easily find some cheap runewords/set/unique that have some useful effect that you could take some advantage off. (Auras and % cast on struck are your best bet)
