Echoing Strike build guides recommend maxing this skill, but that only increases attack rating (which doesn't even apply), and only gives a modest boost to physical damage per point.
Blade Warp only provides a modest 5% synergy.
Why not use hex: bane and max it's synergies (hex: purge, and Consume) for crazy magic damage? You get 35% magic damage to bane per point in its synergies.
If you can run with a +skills/fcr main hand ( Mang Song's Lesson or HOTO) instead of a big elite 2-hander, you can get away with only one point in Levitation as well.
Am I missing something?

Because the damage isn't crazy, i tried it. It's OK, but far from dmg with phys build. Putting pt in Echoing Strike also raises dmg% and base dmg afaik
