Description

Considering the numerous valuable runes needed to create this runeword (at time of writing, well over two dozen
Ist
runes worth of value), one would expect many powerful effects to be featured on this weapon. While Last Wish will neither walk your dog nor file your taxes, it does feature a chance to cast both
Life Tap
and
Fade
- both very useful in clearing the game's most challenging content.

Last Wish also sports a very high chance of Crushing Blow for cutting down large health pools, and a sizable enhanced damage value further augmented with a Might aura (providing an additional +200% off-weapon enhanced damage) which, combined with Ignore Target's Defense, ensures lesser enemies are easily dispatched.

Last Wish is not without its flaws, however. It lacks any Increased Attack Speed, meaning a fast base weapon, off-weapon IAS,
Werewolf
, a
Fanaticism
aura, or some combination thereof will be necessary. Notably,
Burst of Speed
is not a recommended work-around, as the weapon's chance to cast
Fade
will promptly overwrite it. There is also no increase to the wielder's Attack Rating, which can become an issue when attacking Champion, Unique, Super Unique, and Boss monsters with skills other than
Smite
.

Finally, the weapon's Hit Blinds Target functions by effectively applying the
Dim Vision
curse, which will often result in
Life Tap
being overwritten on monsters other than Oblivion Knights, Super Uniques, and Bosses.

This weapon is a fan favorite for most builds, such as the Tesladin, which aims to solo the late game
Pandemonium Event
. The potency of this weapon lays within its 10% chance to cast
Life Tap
on striking, and its level 17 Might Aura, along with the high chance of Crushing Blow, among its numerous other powerful properties.
7
Last Wish lacks increased attack speed, so you have to get it from other sources.
7
Ias Jewel in the guillaume’s face, highlord’s amulet,
Laying of Hands
, and nosferatu’s coil will allow one to roll a Last Wish in a
Berserker Axe
and still reach the 5.2 attacks per second
Zeal
breakpoint, presuming the Zealer/Smiter is using
Fanaticism
aura.
7
A slvl 17 Might aura will provide +200% off-weapon enhanced damage. A slvl 34 Might aura (obtained by a Barbarian wielding two Last Wishes) provides +370% off-weapon enhanced damage.

A slvl 18
Life Tap
has a radius of 14 yards and will last 56.8 seconds.

A slvl 11
Fade
will last 240 seconds and provide +11% Physical resistance and +56% to Fire, Cold, Lightning, and Poison resistances.

A slvl 20
Charged Bolt
will release 22 bolts that deal 13-15 damage each.
7
By far the most expensive runeword of the game. Has very good weapons much cheaper (Grief, Death, Breath of the Dying). Only do Last Wish if already did all thing in game. if you are millionaire and want to do Last Wish make in a
Phase Blade
. 3
Jah
runes, a
Ber
rune and a
Sur
rune can cost a whole character.
7
Perfect weapon for an all-around
Fist of the Heavens
and
Zeal
hybrid Paladin. This build could farm anywhere in the game without any item swap and still having 300+ MF nonetheless.
7
Were it not for its absurdly prohibitive cost, Last Wish would make an excellent candidate for an
Iron Golem
.

The weapon's Might aura would provide helpful damage increases to
Raise Skeleton
and
Revive
.

The Chance to Cast
Fade
would reliably bestow upon the Golem immunity to Fire, Cold, and Lightning damage, assuming
The Summoner
had slvl 4 or higher in
Summon Resist
.

Ignore Target's Defense would provide a reliable to-hit to trigger Crushing Blow and to regain missing Life with
Life Tap
.

Of course, investing such an exorbitant sum into a Golem is something only the most wealthy of players would reasonably consider.
