Imo not really. U can just sell it to vendor.
Usually people are using Spirit runeword (+2 to all spell) in weapon early game which is extremely easy to make (Amn the highest rune). Spirit provides 25-35% frc, + 2all spell, +22 vitality and +100 mana making it much better choice - usable at lvl 25.
