Can be used to make Runewords:
Mercs want auras and if not, reapers or even Obedience are better imho. Even with a nice jewel, it would be inferior to BotD (which mercs usually don't use).
For self use, you would have to put a Zod in it. And then BotD is far superior. (OK, SP can't have 6 sockets but similar items can)
So no value.
