Help me with my horker

I built a horker based off of Icy Veins. it's not 100% match, but close. I cannot complete P1 trav without dying or using half a

ends up with 518 MF, 569 goldfind.

I tried swapping to dual Grief and same problem. I think its the amp damage / hydras that are doing it. Any ideas?

You don't have enough res.
Do you use

Natural Resistance ?

Do you have charms ?

Anni, torch, gheeds, 3 warcry skillers. it suggests an inventory of 7% mf charms

You need more res.

Try to stack some 5 all res charms or take a 20 all res amulet.

I'll have to look for charms. I have never found a good one.

Do you use

Berserk to kill ?
If no, you need life leech.

Using

Berserk as your main attack for Trav requires a specific approach. Since it removes your def, you shouldn't use it when surrounded by all council members or you will take massive amounts of physical damage on top of the fire damage from the hydras. Use

Howl to chase away the normal council members, and fight Ismail, Toorc and Geleb separately.

Also, you have Grief in your main hand, Ali Baba in off-hand, right?

Berserk only works with your main hand weapon.

For resistances, focus on FR, not all res. Better a few high FR charms than a load of all res charms (for Trav that is).

And lastly, you have to find a balance between speed and MF. I can clear Trav in 45 secs with my 300%MF/450%GF WW barb with no deaths and no potions whatsoever. If it would take you more than 1,5 minutes to clear it with your 520%MF barb, I'm getting the better loot result.

Try using a

Dwarf Star ring and a Rhyme rune word shield until you get more levels that helped me out a bunch.

Prioritise survival over MF. Dead Barb is bad at hoarking.

Dwarf Star is a must.

I'd put the ali baba on swap with another one (or a warcries

Spear) for max mf while horking, then something to actually do damage on your offhand. Also, consider swapping

Shako for G-face for the crushing blow. Otherwise, get more fire resist, and you definitely want some life/mana leech, usually from a ring if you can't get it elsewhere.

Use

Dwarf Star (as already recommend) or Rising sun if you have it.
Try it with

Wizardspike in your offhand instead of Alibaba. Or use Rhyme shield as recommended here earlier. You first need to prioritize fast kills and survival. After they are all dead just hork with max MF you can get. Then slowly change gear to maintain that speed and survival and increase MF.
The higher you level rise, less hits you will receive.

It's 100% the

I see here you have no LL. That's why you are going through Full Rejuvenation s like coffee in an AA meeting.

It also appears you are overstacked on MF.

Socket a

Cham in your

Shako, or even use an

Arreat's Face (LL) or

Guillaume's Face with

Cham. My vote is an A-Face with

Cham.

Wizardspike s and fuck the FCR bro. On swap you want dual

Blade Of Ali Baba 's with 2x

Now, if you go with G-face, you need Breath of the Dying for LL, if you have an

Arreat's Face, you can run 2x Grief and be fine.

For the ammy, it's usually

Highlord's Wrath for the IAS BP's and skill and deadly strike. But if you are hurting for res, just toss on a Nokozan Amulet for extra fire res. The Council is fire everything.

The rest of the gear looks ok.

Yes, i have it like that. i can see it only swing with Grief. However, I just respeced from WW because I thought beserk would be better as people seem to recommend it... but this no life leach thing is a drag.. then again , I couldn't even kill the council members with WW.

Whirlwind if you are specifically horking Trav mainly. You only need 1 point into

Berserk and only for that one

Council Member that is immune to physical.

Anyhow as mentioned

Berserk lowers your def so the Council just blasts the shit outta you.

used to have a dual leech ring, but leech doesnt work with

Berserk

I actually just respecced from WW... i couldnt actually kill anything with WW... not sure why. Had 7/6 dual leech ring and it didnt seem to keep my life up,,, also killed so slow that they would regen life faster than i could kill.

what should my main attack be? I just respecd from WW to

Berserk. WW didn't kill anything and didnt keep my health up with 7/6 dual leech ring.

Berserk can kill everything pretty quick, just not while im alive lol

The trick to a trav horker is the merc. A5

Frenzy with dual Last Wish (for the stacking might auras),

Guardian Angel socked with

Cham, and Flickering Flame (for

Resist Fire aura) If Last Wish is too expensive you can go with Grief, king slayer, Botd, etc. If FF is too expensive you can go tals

Mask socked with a

Ral or all res jewel.

I like to use as much crushing blow as possible as well as having the merc proc

Decrepify with

The Reaper's Toll. This could be substituted for

Amplify Damage on a

Dreadfang and you can proc it yourself. The curses really help take down the council faster.
