Can be used to make Runewords:
yes but in single player you can also dupe everything you find, therefore it's so much easier to get stacked
OP
Everyone keeps referring to P8 as if its some Comparison to this subject. Which it isn't. I can throw the exact same logic you all seem quick to toss at this "Hero edit to 99" why would you need Player count at all it's single player!Bizington wrote: 8 hours agoI agree. 10,000+ p8 LK runs kind of defeats your statement ZERO Ber drop 1 made from lower runes. The super chests drop about 40% of the runes above Ko the rest are everywhere but those chests.
If I trusted blizzard further than I could throw them an Editor could poof them into existence but Blizzard has its Terms of use and its specifically states no 3rd party programs. I'm not going to trust them to keep ignoring SP. Besides an NPC would be playing the game which is the entire point of Farming at all.
If I wanted to relive the Open Bnet days why bother with little shit just make the character have 26 million HP/MP and 255 skill lvls and spawn Super Uber Bosses again.
I mean, you can literally go to maxroll.gg and click your own character together with Enigma and everything, export it from the website and import it in offline to test or play forever everything you want if you hadnt the chance to get the runes or time before. That is a great option.
As others have mentioned, the trade off is get /players8 or whatever count you want.
Personally, I play SSF on PSN so I do not have the option of editing my save games without a hassle (imo, it's easy, just tedious).
However, I do use Maxroll to "test" builds before I go out and spend 10 Jah on a bunk build.
With all that being said - imho the game modes are balanced for good reasons.
There is also a reason why they call it SSF or Offline Single Player.
Anyway, I've spent too much time on this thread, but it is neat to see what ppl's ideas are.
Oh! Hmmm Yeah the basis of your disagreement is just as easily dismissed if you just cheat past it.
What I've not heard from anyone is besides Not playing the game and cheating how do you expect to get Several Ber a few Cham and a few Zod to complete the 100% Runewords? because its not actually possible even with insane amounts of grinding. <<< This is trying to play the game as it's intended Currently.
I see whats being said, not everyone plays on PC so you dont always have access yo Hero Editor (which would make it a little pointless to even play. ) to a certain extent yeah SP can go so far, but for Chronical purposes you cant make a lot of the runewards. Yeah, i play multiplayer online on Xbox, playing in a 8player game does make it more difficult and better items do drop more often. Ive seen up to Ber drop quite a bit, so having a NPC to trade with in SP to get runes and using the cube to up puls, ums, mals, and ists would benefit but not take away from farming uniques to get those runs
Ok I wasn't going to bite, but every day there seems to be a post from someone about how this game is bad in some way.Dragoneyes001 wrote: 4 hours agoEveryone keeps referring to P8 as if its some Comparison to this subject. How do you farm those runes in SSF?
YOU PLAY THE FUCKING GAME!
It's really that simple.
Also SSF is almost considered to be a life-long grind. Not a "I'll pick up the DLC and get all the trophies by the next DLC".
THIS IS NOT THAT KIND OF GAME.
Over 2 decades... over 20 YEARS most of of have been playing, straight through, or on and off, for that long.
I still have yet to find my first natural SoJ in SSF and when I do it's gonna be amazing.
So many people in such a rush to finish an unfinishable game.
It's Dungeons and Dragons with a GUI instead of Pen & Paper.
If you don't like the grind, this isn't your game. Period.
And the /players8 is the exact comparison.
Online has Trades and Party Play
SSF/Offline has /players8 command instead.
Play the game for the experience, not the "trophies" and you'll have a lot more fun.
And cheating? I play on PSN so I do not have the option to edit those files as I stated. And what ppl are saying is just "pretend" you are trading with yourself. Toss some Perfect Amethyst on the Ground and give yourself an Ist rune. Idk. There's literally plenty of shit out there to edit your files FOR FREE and IS NOT against TOS as long as you aren't server hacking Blizzard, which I would wish no one here is doing.
Fire up an Assassin or a Sorc.
Go to LK during TZ's
Open Super Chests
Get rich
Stop complaining
Have more fun
But holy shit does someone have to come into these forums everyday to shit on this game?
If you don't like it, don't play it.
Huh?
Ik people who don't like chess. I love chess. I never see them on my chess forums saying "we need to change the game of chess so it better suits me!"
Get outta here with that.
Either farm up LK and Trav, don't play SSF, mock trade with yourself, or find another game, we all say this like every fucking day.
I shld just stay off the forums for a while.
I'm gonna expect some push back from my reply.

@Bizington
Making a proposed solution to the impossible with something which absolutely needs you to play A FUCKING LOT is not cheating nor is it about wanting the game handed to you on a plater.
Sorry to say but your rant just makes you sound like a troll wanting to post a bunch of shit which doesn't address the issue. You're even saying CHEAT don't play the fucking game Cheat but delude yourself into thinking it's playing. you know where you can ram your rant right?

Sorry OP, based on the comments it doesn't seem like anyone feels the same way about this as you do.
If the support ratio is this low Blizz will never implement it. They barely implement things that have 100% support.
Best advice I can give is a "trade with yourself" method. Take the items you find, look up their fair market value, delete the item, and hero-edit the payment to yourself.

Will buy any 3 minor keys for an Ist - message me.
My free items are for players who play on xbox only and are intended for new players or ones who can't afford much. Its sad I even need to stipulate this ...

The vast majority of the replies take Single player as cheat central with no allowance to play the game legit. problem is SP can not complete the runewords challenge so they may as well remove the chronicles for them it's piss poor planning on the part of the devs.Knappogue wrote: 2 hours agoSorry OP, based on the comments it doesn't seem like anyone feels the same way about this as you do.

Explain how ALL the calls to cheat make doing ANY playing the game as intended worth the effort? The second you *Poof* one object into your SP game there is no Value in any of the play you've done up to that moment accomplishing anything after cheating isn't an accomplishment. At that point you may as well just edit a lvl 99 character with Maxed Stats and Skills and equip the absolute best items your build can take.
Wow, you mad bro? I didnt say change the game. All i said is that “ i see what hes saying” no need to get so worked up over it. (Biz)
You just want blizzard to cheat for you. Its the same end result.Dragoneyes001 wrote: 1 hour agoThe vast majority of the replies take Single player as cheat central with no allowance to play the game legit. problem is SP can not complete the runewords challenge so they may as well remove the chronicles for them it's piss poor planning on the part of the devs.Knappogue wrote: 2 hours agoSorry OP, based on the comments it doesn't seem like anyone feels the same way about this as you do.

I agree with this sentiment. Thats why I suggested looking up fair market value for the items. But its definitely not perfect.Dragoneyes001 wrote: 1 hour agoThe second you *Poof* one object into your SP game there is no Value in any of the play you've done up to that moment accomplishing anything after cheating isn't an accomplishment.
20 years ago I bought a hoto and Enigma with real money. Ruined the game for me for years. It took away all sense of satisfaction. I never did it again. I understand the slippery slope worry of hero editor.
