Hi, just started playing Diablo 2 again because of the patch with the new class.
But the last time i played was years ago, trading was not an option no internet.
My question are there rare/crafted items to look for, or is there a guide?
Sockets on rare items can they be rerolled?

Craft item is complicate ,
Ring is more simple after rotw, 4/4 affix to keep.
You need to craft , for example
10 FCR, 20 STR, 90-110 MANA+LIFE, 11 AR or 25-30 FR/LR.
This kind of ring will stand a fight.
Blood Ring is different, you need build a melee ring, there is still market here, RubySol, build STR AR Life like ring
Boots is more easy, basically all 0 value, rare , craft. Unless you are really lucky, 30 FRW usually must. Caster Boots have to look like this trade/caster-boots-t1807058.html
This value only work in LoD, the game you play , rotw, it will far less than I list.
Because of Wraithstep, even perfect roll, it still weaker
30 FRW
40-60 mana
FR 25%-40%
Depend on scenario, Boots FR usually must, caster need PR, Another thing, CR usually not favor, if you see 40 CR...well, not so good but ok.
Also, some scenario need LR FR, so usually it is FR >= LR >> PR >>> CR
CR and PR is kind of extreme. Caster need PR, it will be very important and critical, other class need CR but not so much.
Amulet, Caster wizlock skill,
Cast amulet are various need, recommend to craft. +2 skill 10 FCR usually need to have value.
Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.
Any correct answer will be extremely long. Yes there are many rare items that are worth a lot. Many of them got their value from their use in PvP, incl. VLLD, LLD, and MLD. This is what makes a comprehensive answer so complex.
There are guides out (incl. 1h+ videos) there, better check them.
If you have a specific rare item that you believe is worth something, you can request a price check in the trade section.
The first step you should take to evaluate a rare item is to compare it to uniques / runewords.
Your 2 items have no value because there are better uniques / runes words for their corresponding slots.
You can't "reroll" the sockets but you can remove whatever you socketes (jewels, runes, gems) with the cube recipe (tp scroll and Hel rune).
Personally I pick and recognize
1-all yellow Boots (sold one pair on previous ladder for several Ber runes)
2 - All yellow circlets, coroners, tiaras, Diadems .
3- all blue Diadems (already got 3 socketed with 30FRW and 8ML )
4-all yellow gloves (chance for GG Amazon ones)
5- all yellow throwing weapons , recognize only Ethereal ones.
6- all yellow jewelry
And I believe this slows me down, but I cannot just turn off all of them in loot filter.
They can become ethereal when you reroll rare one's?
An ethereal Dimensional Blade (rare or unique) becomes an ethereal Phase Blade when upgraded. That's the only way to acquire an ethereal Phase Blade - via cube upgrade recipes.
